as much as i respect ty, tre is 3x the player.

just another inexcusable loss

great job building a team with the idea of a 2 year plan and cant even retain anyone.

When you recruit players that have changed teams every year, you should not be surprised when they change teams again. Just sayin'.
I was thinking this exact thing the minute we signed him last year. Four schools in four years. So where does he go to his 25 year class reunion? Illinois, Louisville, USC.

I don’t know if some people were toeing the line during the season, or are just optimistic people that were just blinded by their love for the Illini,

But that claim of building around a core group returning players sure doesn’t seem to be happening.

Kylan
Tomi

Ty maybe (I’ll believe it when I see it)
And one of Ben or Jake.

That’s where are at?

still waiting on the sarr commitment, too

At this point kind of hope Boswell and Tomi portal just so Brad and co can manage to lose every key contributor from a Rd32 team. Whatever the reasons may be. Would be elite.

There goes the core we desperately needed to hold on to.

But at least we still have Tyler and Hamer!!! That is more important than keeping any players (major sarcasm)

Brad is running this program into the ground in favor of…..I don’t even know. Stubbornness? Nepotism? What is it?

If Ben hits open shots this team would have been completely unlocked. He will never be in a situation better than he had this year.

Back to do what exactly?
Brad has put us on an incredible run over the last 5 seasons. However, that doesn't mean things can't go sideways quickly. Hopefully he can right this ship and bring in some big fish. I have faith because he seems to be good at that.

If Josh Whitman isn’t careful he’s going to have another Iowa on his hands. Players needed to win championships won’t be interested and he’ll have a good but stubborn coach on his hands that has stagnated the program. Not there yet but headed there. Especially when the donor $$ dries up.

The way it's working you might as well say why recruit anybody anymore :) No one sticks around, recent high school grad or recent portal find.

Reading between the lines of Indy's post, sounds like it isn't money but Tyler related?
What a shame. If Tyler is causing a rift no matter who is at fault Brad has an obligation to do something. Imo Tyler should cut his teeth out from under daddys wings. Prove you can do the job without the ol man. That is if it's the real reason we have a mass exodus every offseason. If he is unwilling we need to find a coach without the attachment of family wanting on the staff. Didn't work with Lovie and appears to be the cause of some problems here as well. I've been an avid supporter of coach Underwood but this needs addressed.
