I agree, I like Jake. I even say screw the analytics.

When Jake is on the floor he does what the team needs him to do (he's tough & hustles), and takes good shots.
He has to be great in scout team practices and game prep.

Or maybe there's a certain 19 yr old 6'6" pg playing in Ulm Germany who's draft stock is falling, and noticed what we did for KJ. Obviously just a pipe dream.

While I doubt that Morez actually got $1.8M, Yaxel was reportedly commanding over $2M, plus whatever Cadeau was asking for. They've probably dropped $5M+ on three players in the portal. While we whiffed on Dix and Sellers. I know it's a long portal season and all that, but the arms race is not going the right direction.

Wolf and Goldin played together and both put up numbers. I think Morez just wants the ball more and at Michigan he will get it even if he’s used like Goldin, while the UAB guy is used like Wolf

It’s Portnoy and Larry Ellison ( U of I) grad. They are paying QB Bryce Underwood more than Super Bowl QB Brock Purdy made playing for the 49ers.

I do believe this IS the last year teams can go over “the cap”. Once Rev Share is finalized I think it’s a set figure and anything outside of that has to be approved by the NCAA with regard to NIL payments from collectives. They have to be legitimate

I talked about this with a buddy before the tournament.
Michigan got a dynamic youngish coach and if they get at least a Sweet 16 run they will leverage it into some immediate recruiting success.
This may be where the conference hoops landscape tilts towards Michigan for a bit.

There's several big names that will be hitting the portal in the next week or two.

It is early. But how do you feel about another slow start to the off season? Obviously we finished last off season very strong so there is hope.

This just feels like another season with 20 wins, hope for a good draw to get to the second weekend and no real chance at a final four.

All the “April 4th” posts yesterday showing the 2005 champ highlights against UNC have me feeling deflated haha

Like who? Even if they do, there will be plenty of competition. They will obviously get players but the plan does not appear to be working this off-season.
