Seems the roster is short on ball handlers/guards and unknown at the power forward:

Guard - Petrovic and Boswell seem to be very capable plus 3 freshman?

Power Forward - Mirkovic, Humrichous, Z, Jackstys, and Rodgers - unproven is the key word here - This group could develop into a viable power forward.

Stojakavic is basically a guard

Agree but feels like he will be a permanent fixture at the 3 along with the guards. Sure he can slide over and handle the "guard" position as well I imagine there will be far more minutes with Boswell, Petrovic and Stojakavic playing at the same time.

With the addition of Petrovic i’m not too worried about guards (assuming reasonable luck w injuries)

If i could add one spot, i’d go with an athletic 3.

Perhaps Puff Johnson of Penn State would qualify as an athletic 3 OR an athletic small-ball 4?

I’m old enough to remember when the narrative was that the B1G was too physical, the refs never called fouls except for 30 feet from the rim and the conference needed to reconsider officiating if its teams wanted to compete in the NCAA Tournament.
Lol, seriously, I was so confused when I read the opposite take … because “old enough” only needs to mean you were watching like two years ago! 🤣

Not going to be a top 10 offense if we shoot threes in the fashion last year. I hope I am wrong.
I mean, we finished last year with the 14th ranked offense in KenPom and that was with a brand new top 8 (not a single player in our top 8 played with each other the year before), 3 “first year playing college basketball” starters, and missing at least 1 starter in something like 50% of our games.

The best teams usually have this guy though, so if we want to win a championship, we will need someone who can make his life a little difficult when the time comes.

At this point, it seems like the best guy for that role is Ty, but he’s giving up 2 inches and 20lbs in the scenario.

Idk where Z is with his lateral movement, but if he can move a little, you could play off a step and use your length to cover the space you give up to contest his jump shot.

Is there a possibility that big Z and Tomi will play together for some minutes? Need a defensive adjustment but would work offensively.
One of the podcasts I listened to had them both starting. It depends who you listen to. Defensively a liability but offensively would be a nightmare. I think it depends a lot on situational matchups etc. I could see them sharing the court for a few minutes per game.
