"A report out of Europe concerning Virginia basketball recruiting target Thijs De Ridder’s eligibility is incorrect, according to Nick Kalinowski, an NBA Draft and NCAA basketball analyst."

Kalinowski wrote:

“Update: sources with knowledge of the situation have refuted [previous] this report. The NCAA has made no such ruling on De Ridder’s eligibility at this moment and the plan remains for him to consider the college route this fall.

“As of right now, no firm decision has been made” (sidenote, he has been linked to Virginia).
That's kind of wild. It would be one thing if the report just said he was going to go to the Paris club instead of Virginia, but it intentionally said the NCAA ruled him ineligible.

Wouldn’t have been worried about it at all anyway

Just because a single recruit is ruled ineligible, doesn’t mean all of them will be

When a player is ruled ineligible, this can be for a myriad of reasons and doesn’t mean NCAA has blanket-ruled there can be no more European players lol

I heard BU say the Geoff and Orlando are at the Euro Final Four. Are any of our additions playing or who are they there to recruit.

3 star F Aleks Alston (HS recruit) commits to Maryland
Bruce Thornton (Ohio State) officially withdraws from NBA Draft
Nate Bittle (Oregon) officially withdraws from NBA Draft

Can anyone find anything on Danny Wolf? Pretty certain he'd stay in, but can't find anything reporting either way

Wolf coming back would be a fun mess to see

Other than the part where Michigan has the best front court in the country...

Possible, but having your 4 best players only usable at 2 positions does not make a good team. And my opinion differs greatly from NBA scouts apparently in who should stay in the draft, Yaxel or Wolf. I would hate to see any team I rooted for pick Wolf in the lottery. I will be shocked if he ever becomes even a role player at the next level.

Most mocks have Wolf about 10-15 spots above Yaxel, which I tend to agree with

Wolf can be a ballhandler, Yaxel - while he's a great passer - is not a ballhandler... also Wolf is 2 inches taller

The most prevalent comp I've seen for Yaxel is Patrick Williams which wouldn't inspire a ton of confidence for me, idk

I won't. He led the B1G in rebounding, and is quite comfortable on the perimeter. Rebounding almost always translates. He has enough skills on offense to make up for his deficiencies on defense.
I don't see a star, but there is no reason he can't have Kelly Olnyk or Mo Wagner's career.

Tend to agree with you on Wolf. He is not going to the poor man's Jokic in NBA. While he is mobile for his size, a lot of guys in NBA can switch on him. Those players may not be as tall as Wolf but they are as fast and if not stronger than him. He can play the pop 5 in NBA but I don't know if his defense will be able to keep him in the league.

They'd be at least a top 10 team preseason. Probably shorting on that... very possibly top 5 or even higher. And I'd take Cadeau and possibly McKinney over Morez/Mara. Rez would very likely be the 4th big man in that rotation. However, seriously doubt Wolf is coming back except for some unheard of, historical pay check. And even then wonder how practical it would be for a guy consistently mocked in the top 20.

Will this international student visa pause cause problems for these incoming players?

This pause would only potentially cause problems for Mirkovic and Petrovic since the other -ic's are already here. From what I can tell the pause only applies to "new" visa appointments. There was a report that said Mirkovic plans to be on campus by 6/10 so he is probably fine. Petrovic I can't find anything on but one would hope he got the visa appointment set already.
