Meh, Brother Pru. The bigger the chip on our shoulder, the sweeter it will be when BB and the boys embarrass the skeptics.
I'm looking forward to this season like I've looked forward to no season since 1990.
The stats (below) show the SEC seriously underperformed against B1G last year.
Does the SEC avoid a 9-game schedule and in-season B1G games because they really believe they’re superior? Or do they see the data and choose to avoid contests that would tarnish their image?
Let's analyze his comments just a little bit to see if the facts back them up:
> Big Ten went 6-4 against the SEC in 2024.
> The Big Ten had four College Football Playoff teams. The SEC had three.
> The Big Ten had two teams in the final four and won the national championship. The SEC had one team in the final four and didn't appear in the title game.
> The Big Ten had four teams in the top eight for strength of record, including Ohio State and Oregon in the top two spots. The SEC had two teams, with Georgia the highest at four.

Plus a guy (Pavia) who transferred from NM State to Vandy, and then went 7-6 last year with an unusually overachieving team, slagging the BT is rich on its own. I mean, it's not like the BT did well in the playoff last year or anything. lol
I fervently hope Vandy overperforms again (i.e., wins more than two SEC games), ends up in a bowl v. Rutgers, and gets its a$$ kicked.

To be completely fair, it looks like the rankings are by ESPN's projected records, not their own personal ranking. Seems like they're trying to directly debate those records.
