what's frustraiting is we also had the opportunity to add four star NT Cameron McHaney, but I believe per a ruling we can no longer recruit IMG academy.
I remember following the firing people were pretty defensive of Buh (linebackers). The secondary coach needed to be let go from the get-go and was.
Both are no doubt upgrades, and the staff flat out gets the job done.

Yes.. Alabama has snuck in a few jobs on us lately, but not today...I did want Sutter and Cabell and the RB we had..It at least tells me that Bielema and staff are at the table.They are eating with the Clydesdales instead of the shetlands..lol
Agree. I know many have commented similarly about the great place to which BB has brought Illinois football. I graduated from the Beloved in 2003 -- during my time there and in the following 2 decades, there have been extremely few off seasons where I would think ~2-3 weeks was a long time between good news, if we got any actual good news (compared to these last 2 years) at all. The fact that we have these high caliber recruits considering us and actually committing because of the culture, on-field product, and NFL prospects as well as being in the national conversation regarding top teams is simply mind blowing. Great job and congrats to BB and staff for the success thus far and the optimism for more to come!

a great way to “end” the preseason recruiting cycle . we are undoubtedly looking to flip a couple guys committed elsewhere just as some of our guys will be tempted to decommit .
one wonders how much NIL money , both above and below the table , factors into this .
regardless , while our prep recruiting isn’t over, it’s 90% done . still room for a few studs to have awesome sr years and get flipped from their G5 or FCS commitments
