I'm buying all the Tomislav stock I can this season. Between getting here late last off season and getting mono, I don't think he was ever in great playing shape. I also think he's going to show more of a back to the basket game. He gets really good position just rushes the shot sometimes.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Ben, too. We just need him to play a Jacob Grandison / Quincy Gurrier type role and I believe he's capable of that.
Regarding the Guerrier role, Ben did pretty well at times at the 5 in the small ball lineup.

Very early rotation guess (it's early, could change):
PG: Petrovic (28 mpg), Lee (10 mpg).
SG: Boswell (34 mpg), Wagler (8 mpg).
SF: Stojakovic (30 mpg), Davis (10 mpg).
PF: Zvonomir (13 mpg @ 4), Humrichous (15 mpg), Mirkovic (12 mpg).
C: Tomislav (30 mpg), Zvonomir (10 mpg).

Mentioned this before, but there's interest in another guard add. Needs to be the correct piece. These are all subject to change of course.

Few Notes:
-Andrej has looked the part of a high profile transfer. Working on his three a lot more.
-Expect a monster season from Tomislav. Has gotten even bigger and better than last season.
-Wagler and Lee have both flashed, but the biggest stock riser of anyone has been Keaton. Needs to put on weight, but there's high optimism he can contribute right away. Great shooter.
-They staff is confident they can unlock Z, would be a total game changer.
-I know, I know, but a lot of buzz Humrichous has a big bounce back season.

-Mirkovic should be over in the next couple of weeks. Getting a lot closer on Petrovic, the hope is by mid August he's on campus.

one like is wholly insufficient. thanks for sharing

I'm convinced Z is the X factor for this season. We know about Tomi, Boz, Andrej....I feel very good about Petrovic at least being a solid starter.

The top end proven talent is night and day compared to last year. The depth is a concern, but it's an overrated concern. Say Lee or Wagler - production wise - has a similar year to freshman year Sencire Harris. You immediately have a very solid 9 deep.

If Ivisic develops the back to the basket game I'm not sure there's a more complete big man in the country offensively.

Ben and Quincy completely different players. Jacob Grandison's a very good "best case scenario" comp.

Overall I think this is definitely a top 25 team, whether it's anything more TBD.

35 a game between those two is very much on the table.

Overall I'm pretty optimistic about the upcoming year, and I like Boswell and Petrovic. That said, that's not a lot of backcourt height. Any concerns there? Boswell is obviously very strong on D and can probably still hold his own against most taller SGs. What about Petrovic?

While the proven offensive talent is better, we are really unathletic from a run and jump and quickness perspective. I think we'll frequently put up a lot of points. But the defense will also give up a lot of points.

Is Z our best run-jump athlete?

As for #1, it’s been already said that BU was joking.
My take on BU’s comment was that BH has improved so much that he looks as if he added 3 inches in height (or whatever it was). Or was that already mentioned? Yes, that’s my story, and I’m sticking with it. I can dream, can’t I?

Very much agree with this assessment. However it points out a slight concern in having a freshmen backup at both guard positions. With Rodgers being out, I think an older, athletic, and maybe taller guard, would be a nice addition.

What about the Korean basketball league where they shoot the free throws off the backboard and bank them in? I think they average over 80% on that technique!!! :)
That's 100% the way I play the hoops game at the carnival, won many a stuffed animal doing that.

Actually recent photos seem to show significant weight gain.
Told this story already, but my nephew played with him in high school and has spoken to him recently. Jason has added a lot of muscle and is absolutely bigger - not that that negates the original comment, he still qualifies as tall and skinny.

I know he was standing in front in the wrigley field pic, but Brandon Lee looks BIG. About as tall as Andrej and really thick.

Excited to see what the 2 frosh can do. As easy as it is to focus on 5 stars and the portal, these 3 and 4 star kids come in and contribute all the time.

Yep. Shouldn’t take him too literally when the statement is this outlandish…

He does speak with hyperbole but can’t imagine this was that

Bam guards a lot bigger than he is though. Locked down Barnhizer, and Flagg.
