He reminds me a lot of a QB at Wisconsin way back in the Bret days....

Literally came in to say Russell vibez....

Good vibez!

He looks good. That first throw was ridiculous. How could a guy take that shot? How could a guy MAKE that shot?!

I need to go find some more film. He stares down his receivers a LOT, but this is a highlight reel of scoring players against high schoolers. His WRs are still gutting defenses in spite of it. He made at least one read and one fake, so he's picking up tools. I hope his coaches can do him right because he is already lethal and could be.. what's beyond that? If he gets much better, his name will have opposing mommas crossing themselves in the stands.

Are you talking about Lunney taking a HC job at a MAC school? That's a huge downgrade from established P4 coordinator, especially one who has a few games as an interim HC under his belt.
Yes. That's exactly what I typed.

Chuck Martin: Notre Dame OC to Akron HC
Lance Taylor: Louisville OC to Western Michigan HC
Pete Lembo: South Carolina AHC/ST to Buffalo HC
Scot Loeffler: Boston College OC to Bowling Green HC

Hearing Myson Johnson-Cook will be back at MacArthur this fall...or maybe even East St Louis...is that true?
You can't convince me that he wouldn't be absolutely perfect for Bret Bielema...though I'm old enough to remember watching the 3 headed monster at Wisconsin in awe.

Myson wouldn't be old enough to remember that...

Nevertheless, the cult will pay him as an unproven freshmen more than all our RBs combined

I like how cool he is under pressure. He never looks rattled. Of course they picked his best plays for the highlights but he always looks cool and calm.

Only one of those coaches has a winning record. Lunney makes 10's of thousands more than Lembo too. The MAC isn't where it's at. Loeffler isn't even a HC anymore, but he was 27-41 at BG.

in the ideal world would absolutely love to get a very sold 2-year starter in next year's portal.

They have Hampton who is expecting to get another year of eligibility and was a starter at NIU last year. Combine that with some talented underclassmen and I think there might not be a need to go spend a ton on a transfer QB. Better to save that money for other positions of need and use the homegrown talent at QB.

IMO we really don't have much to replace at all outside of the trenches. Of course virtually every position will need to be replaced there.
Will it? They bought in two solid tackle options this season (who will both be back), Henderson will be back, and also rotational pieces like McMillan (center), Hansen, McDonough, freshman Kai Pritchard. Of course they will need to be "replaced" - you're losing starters - but you won't need a transfer overhaul.

I think it's much more on the defensive front.

I can make a FG, but not if the goal post is on wheels.
