I’ve rewatched this game so many times. It never gets old.I need to watch the game again before this season starts ... pure enjoyment - that was a happy day/week/month

Literally all of those guys were on the same team...If you could add one of Pat Bryant/Johnny Newton/Devon Witherspoon/Chase Brown to the current roster who would it be?
Talent wise - at least the first stringers - that was an incredible team. Poor execution, as well as an injury in the secondary really hindered what should've been a very good season. Honestly think the staff has drastically improved in terms of game management.Literally all of those guys were on the same team...
Newton. De-line biggest worry, IMO, for this team.If you could add one of Pat Bryant/Johnny Newton/Devon Witherspoon/Chase Brown to the current roster who would it be?
Neither did Zakhari Franklin. That was an awful Florida State team last season, and he didn't even get reps. I hope I'm wrong, but I suspect it stays a weakness, and may prove costly.
YesIs the Duke game on ABC or ESPN?
To be fair to the comparison, Zakhari Franklin at Ole Miss had a 2nd round draft pick and 4th round draft pick ahead of him, as well as a guy who caught for 700+ yards that season and 900+ yards the following season (last season). On a team that went 11-2. Not quite the same situation.Neither did Zakhari Franklin.
I just love that Bret used the phrase “when Illinois wasn’t good” — past tense!
Just leaving this here for all you KF is a LB folks
CoachB has lost some serious Lbs.. looking good.
Did you happen to see Bret’s presser yesterday? WR group discussed by Coach at the 4:40 mark.Definitely surprising the somewhat lack of Clement talk. When he committed everyone thought the next 50 catch guy.
exactly my thoughts as well.Newton. De-line biggest worry, IMO, for this team.
I basically never stop worrying about my Illini, but he would help the most with that.
I know this will come across as bringing back bad memories, but we were 7-1 and right before our MSU game Iowa destroyed Purdue. I remember writing down something along the lines of: even if we lose both Purdue and Michigan, Purude wins out, etc... we win the west if we win this game and Iowa wins out (to set up the three way tie, etc; now ironically neither of those happened as we lost and Iowa blew one on the last day to a pretty terrible Nebby team).Talent wise - at least the first stringers - that was an incredible team. After the Purdue loss the only path to Indianapolis was a three way tie between us-Purdue-Iowa. So, we all would've been huge Hawkeye fans against Nebby had we pulled it out @scUM (or MSU). But we didn't... and now the only path was Iowa loss (happened) and Purdue loss (didn't happen; Indiana was really bad).I know this will come across as bringing back bad memories, but we were 7-1 and right before our MSU game Iowa destroyed Purdue.
