coach punchface was still there and we were robbed by that whole officiating crew.......still burns my arse that a clear TD was stolen from us.......and also the game........

This is our 1st game against their new cupcake scheduling coach who seems to like to run up the score against weaker teams......Let's show him what the # 9th ranked team is all about.......we are the most physical team they will have faced so far this season and will unleash all of our skill and talent like a horde of mammoth's and flatten any hopes they have of post season play.........

Luke shines from the opening kickoff and Feagin and Valentine both go for 100 + rushing yards and TD's galore.......Mr. Beatty
returns another punt for a TD and the Illini D stiffens up with a couple fumble recoveries and INT's.....I predict...................

Illini 41
loosiers 27

the stolen FB game is revenged and our path to the playoffs gains ground big time................

LET'S GO ILLINI !!!!!!!!!!!!!

ps : ... I went to the grocery store over the weekend and stocked up on Orange and Blue flavored Gatorade and Powerade...

I will be ready to see us kick some loosier arse..............Are you ready ????

Offense.....Defense........Special Teams.........................The Illini Trinity..................WE GOT THIS !!!!!!!!....WE REALLY REALLY DO !!!!!
I vote Pru gives them the first half speech

How did we let mouth breathing Indiana fans in our loyalty page? Some overweight Monroe County hillbilly just said Hoosiers by 25. 😂 That cupcake schedule really got to their heads last year. I figured Ohio State and Notre Dame would have humbled them.

Indiana has blown out every team at home under Cig except Michigan which was a tussle.

I think for Illinois to win this game it will need to be a low scoring physical game like Michigan was. I don’t see Illinois winning a shootout

I agree. People predicting these huge scores. I don’t see it. Bielema could easily get ahead and try to shorten the game.

Let's hold back on all the CFP talk. Put all the focus on the Hoosiers and beat them.

According to the PFF guys' statistics, Illinois has the highest blitz rate of any defense in CFB. They also have the highest rushing grade in the country when running "between the tackles." Doesn't quite feel like it with some of the narratives...

Penn State will NOT lose against Indiana. They own them. Oregon will beat them up at home. IU ABSOLUTELY HAS TO WIN AGAINST US. We could still get in even with a loss but we could only lose 2 games and Indiana would have to lose against another team. IOWA?
Respectfully, my second post was sarcasm. Do you REALLY think any reasonable IU fan believes IU will beat either PSU or Oregon? And yes, the Iowa game causes us anxiety too because IU has a very poor history at Kinnick. I'll exit the board now and quit sidetracking the Illinois faithful discussion here. Best of luck on Saturday. Hope your team has the same level of disrespect for Indiana as you do; if so, Saturday will be a blast !!!

Both lines need to wake up and perform to start the game or the halftime deficit will be too much to overcome......by a lot.

I feel like we start the game better, but the corners won't get the job done and a lot of the issue will be our inability to stop the run and a lot of play action stemming from it.

Indiana. 38
Good guys. 21

We need to see the above adjustments.....and fast.

Indiana is a very good team - I think they have more high end talent than we do, they are well coached and will have a big home field advantage Saturday. Countering that, Bret is probably the best road coach in the Big 10; he does a great job of making sure the players are locked in and take care of business. At the end of the day, while I think we can win, I don't think we will win
I agree with everything you wrote until the final clause of the final sentence.

We Will Win.

It's the program's time. The team shall prevail. We're not driving 600+ miles for nothing. ;) :illinois:

O Line, D Line inconsistency combined with some pass coverage deficiencies & breakdowns during the game will be our undoing against a pretty good team, on the road. Unfortunately I think we lose by a couple of touchdowns.

Old news here......Indiana's Cignetti's Monday press conference. What a difference in style and delivery vs. Coach Bielema. Cignetti almost acts like he doesn't want to be there and it appears to pain him to answer the press's questions (his response to the first question about their starting RB injury.....he really didn't want to disclose that he's out for the season!). Watching Curt Cignetti is like watching paint dry when compared to Bret Bielema. To be fair, Curt Cignetti's persona would have run circles around Lovie Smith. I'm so glad we've got Coach Bielema.

i mean, sure, but he got indiana to the college football playoff and looks to have another (very) good team this year. if beckman won like him, we'd've put up with "wint", lasagna talk, and a lot of other stupid stuff he said. (not the player abuse, though. . . i hope.)

#13 Illinois @ #5 Indiana if just using this season's results. Also notice the lack of SEC teams. Plus look at IU, USC, and Washington all grouped together. Would be really fun if we brought all 3 back to reality. Beating up on the cupcakes is over, time to play some real football and see what's up!

how is indiana #5 based on this year? yes old dominion is good, but indiana beat them by less than 2 touchdowns at home. not saying we would've done better, and maybe duke sucks, but at least it was a p4 win on the road by almost 4 touchdowns.

then they beat up on a 1aa team and a low d1 team. all that said, i still expect indiana to win on saturday, but don't understand how they're #5.
