1. The tweet was fake
2. We don’t have $2M
3. Just not a good fit here (JMO)
Come on, man. We may not be able to rustle up the 2 mil to bring him in, but in a perfect world, I'm sure we could make "a fit" here for an all American level guard like Tahaad Pettiford if he were willing to come to Champaign and we had the money to pay him.

We had the same debate a few months ago with people saying we shouldn't want/take Will Riley back (if he wanted to) because we got Andrej. Whether you can get the guy is a whole different story, but the goal has always been to build the best possible roster.

With Pettiford - I'd be surprised if he doesn't stay put.

With all the elite h.s. players coming for a visit. It's hard for me to imagine we lose out on every single one.

Who's the CG? Have scrolled the thread and can't find him.

Have another CG on campus this weekend …

We expect 2 years of Petro …
When will you be able share who else will be on campus this weekend? And is it a recruit who you are excited about?

I'm sure admissions would be hard (not impossible) for a kid transferring to a 4th school in 4 years... (I don't think he could graduate early either for the same reason...)
NBA seems to be the most logical path of attrition for Petro.

The real answer is it depends on the kids …

Petro & Tomi cost a lot more than a Constanza …

That’s really exciting on Petro. He seems like a dawg with an IDGAF attitude…won’t be intimidated and possibly rolling up to SFC with a heater in his mouth.
Maybe R J Reynolds has some NIL available he can cash in on. Or maybe spread the NIL around by having the bench light up when someone goes on a heater.
