I wonder what happened there. He was a huge get out of Chicago. I just hope it wasn't over playing time
Bummer, hope he is ok and if it’s a transfer that he finds a place where he can develop.
It is disappointing given the recruiting profile and expectations, but at this point it is not surprising. At the end of the day, I understand the decision as far as sitting out/redshirting to preserve eligibility and recognizing that this wasn't the right location for him. I'm sure it is extremely hard being a player with all the "hype" coming in when it is not materializing at the NCAA level. I wish him the best of luck wherever he ends up.
Was just going to say the same thing. We brought in Bowick to compete at that position. Bowick won.

Hopefully he reaches his potential elsewhere. Disappointing as he seemed to have something special but only showed it in a few brief moments.
Just never worked out into being THAT guy. No doubt wish him the best.
how much does this say about our wr room over the past few years? this is not a scenario I would have envisioned even coming into this season...
Also super underrated that he's behind some damn good receivers.

I didn't expect him to come back. But there's was a lot of opportunity. Good decision for the kid.

Obviously a bummer when a big recruit doesn't work out, but he was 5th on the depth chart without much evidence he was any better than a couple guys behind him either. Don't know if he was given the option to stay with the team while redshirting, but either way it makes sense and good luck to him.
