What an exciting victory! Much needed. First thought when USC scored to take the lead with 1:55 left was, "They scored too soon." As upset as I was that Illinois coughed up the lead, I just had a good feeling that they'd come back and win it.

Amazing day.

@spotter Me, too. This is what I texted my husband right after USC scored their last TD: “Ok. So move it down the field for Olano to kick the winning field goal…” I’m still estactic I was correct and our Illini won this game.

The IU game is tough to gauge. We had no secondary and we have never played a road night game like that before

The fact we rebounded show why BB is a good coach and Luke is a good leader. Team came to play at every position

Come to think of it, this is waaaaay off. Chris White beat Ohio State in 1985 as time expired.

We weren't trailing vs Michigan St, and there were 4 seconds left when Chris White hit the game winner vs OSU.

Good bounce back…..however this D is brutal. Is depth that bad? Sac up and unleash Jacas. Shouldve handled business but turnovers and bad D just prevented that

I think storming the field here was appropriate bc of the WAY we won the game (come back, last second field goal), and the fact that it was against a ranked big name opponent.

I don’t get the negativity in this thread. That was a hugely entertaining college football game, won by the beloved. The offense looked GREAT, and it would have been a comfortable win without the two fumbles. Defense had some good and bad moments, but c’mon, guys, USC has one of the top offenses in the nation, so of course they were going to get some. Defense should look a lot more stout against Purdue, NW, Rutgers. Go Illini.

That’s exactly what a gutsy win in competitive game looks like. I’ll take it every time vs the penalty-riddled games of old. How soon we forget.
