You might as well call it 4 turnovers. The knee on the ground by the punter didn't exactly help us.

interesting to see BB quote about being too slow to go tempo.

have said it before, i understand our philosophy but esp in a game like this where controlling the line of scrimmage was always going to be a struggle, i sont understand why we didn't run no huddle/pace from the get go

10-0 with 9 minutes left in the 2nd quarter with the punt miscue. From possibly pinning them back inside our 20 to 1st and 10 on our 37.

Play of the game. The Indinia blowout started with a punt miscue. We absolutely have to execute better on ST and critical downs.

The risk is going three and out and leaving lots of time on the clock and gassing the defense.

That said, our turnovers really killed us and going tempo earlier could have kept us in the game. The lines played well, much better than I expected vs OSU.

Glad we showed well aside from the turnovers for such a big game with so many recruits here.

Have to beat Washington, we have a real shot at 10-2.

When we went to a faster paced offense, we moved the ball. We need to get away from this run the ball up the gut/slow developing crap. With Lunney, it’s either really good or really bad. I am looking at IU against Oregon and they make quick hitter plays. That’s what we need for do on every single down. Bubble screens, quick slants, throw to the TE. It’s no wonder Anderson or Sutter went eldsewhere, we rarely use the TE. We can still get to 10 regular season wins. Another big bowl but until we utilize a high powered quick hitting offense, we will be a good team but not great. IU has passed us. They are dynamic on offense. This offseason, we need to zero in on speed. Faster receivers faster DBs and faster LBs.

Good pass blocking, good tackling and good effort! To many unfortunate mistakes! But why is the defense getting formation's way to late and our defense is way to often trying to get set and not being fully ready! It’s been happening all year!

Well, OSU is good but not so sure about #1. Not disappointed in our D and our OLine blocked pretty well. Luke had time most plays. The biggest issue is kind of what Brett said. " To win big games the first thing you must do is not make mistakes that put yourself in a position to lose it." Or something along those lines. We cant knell down on a punt snap, procedure at the goal line, and in Valentines case touch the ball just 2 times and have it ripped out of your hands. Can't turn it over 3x on your end and expect to win.

The tipped ball was a big defensive play OSU made. Also forcing our WR out of bounds on the reversed call was huge for OSU. However. the one long pass in the first quarter to Bowick looked like a PI from my seat that could've made a huge impact if called. Going to check that replay when I get home.

Random thoughts leaving the game.

Interesting seeing the commentary on officiating matched the feel in the stadium.

Energy was awesome to start the game! And continued into the second half too. Everyone was hyped, people were having a great time, and there were WAY more people out than for the USC game even if both were sellouts. Tons of people hanging out after the game too. I hope this continues to be a building block to getting the tailgate scene where we want it.

Lunney seems to have some type of aversion to running a straight handoff on short yardage plays. It always seems to be some type of trick play, handoff to the FB, or play action. The one time they seemed poised to actually do it on the goal line and there is a completely inexcusable false start.

Did not play well offensively. Punter with a horrible mental error. Refs did suck. With all of that, I still thought we hung with them. Very frustrated with offensive play calling with just under 9 left in 4th. Just throw the towel of thats all you got. I throw that on Lunney and Coach B. That was bad. Give props to OSU defensive back coaches, those holds work every time….

As I asked in the game thread, how do we, as fans, force change on referees just straight up getting away with horrible officiating? It's been going on in every sport for far too long, the biases in favor of the cash cow are egregiously obvious to anyone with eyes, yet it just keeps happening. And it pisses me off to no end when players, especially young college kids, play their absolute hearts out, but because of a crooked ref/refs favoring favoring the cash cow teams, the outcome of the game is pretty much a foregone conclusion. There's GOTTA be a way for the millions of fans sick of this ish to force the leagues to put a stop to this, I just wish I knew what that way was...

Help me understand please. Seriously. Is there no rule, no penalty, for pushing eligible receivers out of bounds? It happened several times, once in the end zone to prevent a catch (not the reviewed play after the catch). Defender with back to the ball just pushed with both hands. If it’s allowed we should shove every receiver out of bounds every chance we get. They were getting away with it so I assume it’s allowed.

I would prefer we finish 10-2 (obviously), get a playoff spot and lose first round than go to a bowl game and win. The rationale is that just making the playoffs is the first step before competing in future playoffs. If Indiana were to finish 10-2, they would likely get greater consideration based on their appearance last year. Let’s win out, sneak in and go from there.

Yes, this. The faster the pace, the less Luke thinks and the more he's simply reacting. It's why he's a beast at 2-minute drills and the end of games. We don't have the horses in the backfield to grind out games this year. We need to rely on what our best player is best at.

Love CoachB honesty. He sees it, now he's making 8 million. Take charge of the coaches and read them the riot act. We call a time out as Buckeyes get motion flag, then Gabe jumps offside. A minimum of 3 or 4 times it's 3rd or 4th down. We only have 3 down lineman on defense. 1x literally no lineman on rightside where than ran it in, un touched. Have the players ready and your packages on down and distance. Thats all on coaches walking our sideline.
