I'm not hoping that Indiana wins, just saying I'm not in the crew that hates Indiana because they thrashed us.
(In fact, part of me wants all the teams on our schedule to win all their other games. It helps us in the ratings )
I'm also not in the crew that hates Indiana because they thrashed us.

I just hate them for every other possible reason.

If we go 10-2, yes, likely. Do I think it's likely we go 10-2? No. But if we go 10-2, considering over 85% of 2 loss teams from major conferences would have finished in the Top 12 of the CFP era and our 2 losses could very well be against 2 of the top 5 teams in the country, yeah, it'd be likely we make the CFP in that case.
The optics of those losses need to be taken into account. We weren't competitive in either game, so they would look for reasons to have a 3 loss team jump us in this scenario.

IU winning is very good for IL's resume. Very possibly our two losses to the top 2 teams in the nation.

From what I see? Not possibly...it's absolutely the two best teams. You go into Oregon and stop that streak? You might well be the #1 team in the nation.

OSU is good...but we competed with them.

Indinia stomped a mudhole in our a$$...then stomped it dry.

That USC player just got LAID OUT... one of the harder hits I've seen in a while. My goodness

What are you talking about? We were competitive today. Just had turnovers. We moved the ball and had more yards than OSU. We lost due to turnovers but we blocked, played solid D and moved the ball just didn't overcome mistakes of shooting ourselves in the foot. That's not the same as not being competitive.

If Ohio State is the gold standard in college football — and it appears they are — the Illini are closer to that than in any time in my memory. Not there, but not that far away. They competed in every phase except holding onto the ball. Of course, holding onto the ball is pretty important.

As weird as it might be to say...I think Indinia might be the best team. OSU is the Gold Standard program obviously.....but boy....what Indinia is doing is nutty good.
