I'll go out on a limb and say he finishes with 34. His ceiling, as of now, is higher than Will Riley's. I just hope we beat UCONN's 110 points (y)

Yes

And those who are insensitive to the player's health are really something too (like anyone can control this... then don't come to the game then...)
The overreaction to these things always kills me. Everyone has to realize that these things happen and it comes with the territory. These dudes are playing at such a high level that injuries are inevitable. A small percentage are very lucky to have a career with zero injuries.

Take a deep breath, crack a beer and let the Illini cook.

If and when this team is fully healthy, look out.

Given we haven't played the projected starting 5, this is really encouraging.
If we can get everyone healthy, we are as deep as 2000-01 team.

We are the perfect example of next man up....................59-27 with multiple players still out......

AS looks impressive in his first action as an Illini....hopefully he has no problems with his knee after tonight.........

Bam with 18 pts.......
Wagler with 16 pts,,,,,,,

fgcu shooting 22 %.................that's some great D by the Illini............

hope Tomi's knee is just precautionary and saving him for TT....................

I wonder what our ceiling is when we get all players healthy and playing without any restrictions...could it be..................

Not sure that Petro will raise the ceiling immediately (please take the time to understand those words before taking offense). However, the contribution of which he is capable would not lower anything....just keep the engine humming longer over 40 min. of battle. That is what depth means. What can he provide to the backcourt that Wagler and Boswell don't? Both are better shooters. But he should shine against pressure teams like Houston.

Just give him time to find his way and his niche. Hope he can just enjoy playing hoops with this team and not the pressure to be a star.

My fondest hope is that BU will embrace the zone as a potent and effective defense and teach it at a high level. It can really shut down some pretty good teams if played with focus and competence. Not saying it is better, but it can be against some teams. Illini should embrace both.
