If you are an in demand coach, why would you a) go to LSU for less guaranteed money (like the gov has said they'll offer) and b) risk them trying renege on the deal at the end?

I can see Jimmy leaving the NFL to be Bret’s DC … Mainly because look at what Bret does with Barry … Jimmy doesn’t wanna be on the road all the time … Find an Art to pair with Jimmy and let him go cook on the trail … Jimmy just gets to coach and get more time at home … Problem solved …

With all the job openings (and subsequent back filling) how in the world are we keeping Barry?

Backing up the Brinks truck I assume.

If I’m BL I would rather stay an OC than move down to the G5 level and be a HC. More money and a lot less responsibilities.

I will add this, some G5s are much better than others as providing paths for P4 HC jobs, see Boise, Memphis, Toledo, etc. My worry, UTSA might be one if Traylor leaves this cycle.

I don’t see Hammock getting a P4 OC job right now. To call the NIU offense anemic would be an understatement. Probably in the running for least efficient offense in D1.

I was one of them. He was my second choice after Tiley when Guenther retired. Probably avoided some issues there.

They should be ecstatic. Over the past 9 years (not including this year) FSU went 61-50 (0.549) across 3 coaches. Meanwhile, Penn St went 86-28 (0.754) across one coach, James Franklin.
