Are you privy to some information the rest of us aren’t? Thought last we heard it was some slight swelling from Z…
I'm privy to what I saw from Z against Colgate. He was clearly hurt, not able to move properly, and not ready to play. As cagy as the staff is trying to be about the situation, even with all of the rehab tech available at Uben, there's no way a player goes from the bad shape his knee was against Colgate to being ready to compete against a team the caliber of Alabama 5 days later. Z will need proper rest and rehab if we're going to again see what he's fully capable of later in the season.

As far as Tomi goes, all Brad will say is that he's "moving around now, and that's a good thing." That's not sounding to me like a player who's ready for competition yet.

Where did you get this verbatim quote? The last thing he said today was Tomi could possibly play vs Alabama as he’s looked good in practice the last couple of days.

As far as Z, we will see if he’s even on the injury report. All commentary I’ve heard, was a little soreness, seems he’ll play.

I linked it above. It was a couple of days old.

Can you link where Brad said, "He looked good in practice the last couple of days."

This is the latest information I've seen:

"Illinois' Tomisvlav Ivisvic (knee) "could possibly" be available for Wednesday's game against Alabama depending on how he responds in practice the next few days, per Brad Underwood.Would be a game-time decision."

"Could possibly" be available is a far cry away from the claim I'm reading in your comment.

From a preview video.. even the quote you provided says he’s practicing.

Anyhow, “Could possibly” is a huge upgrade over the previous “December” talk

It's not just about whether they play. Heck, Z played against Colgate and wasn't able to compete at all because he was hurt. I'd hate to see our coaches force a return too early by either Ivisic brother. It's a long season. It's much more important that we see a full recovery and we don't see a recuring injury situation like we saw with Tomi last season.
