This would be absolutely fantastic

This is premature as those jobs aren't "officially filled"..

But any idea on the frontrunners for the backfilled jobs?

A former Bret Bielema player to UCLA!

Penn State must be out on the idea of poaching Deboer...thought Chesney to UCLA was nearing a deal.

Don't get the appeal of CSU for Mora 2.0. Not any higher up the rung than where he is now. $$ might be the answer. Bigger and better jobs likely to be available next year. I guess he could jump again if need be.

Morris taking the OSU job seems early. Ole Miss, Auburn, Arky all still open and Mizzou might be as well.
Is UConn still doing the independent thing? If so, that’s likely enough. Easier to schedule 3 or 4 noncon games then a whole slate, especially since UConn is now competitive. How many P4 schools would want to schedule them now? Don’t really know for sure, but wouldn’t surprise me if recruiting is easier in a conference too. Then there is CFP. Are they still holding at least one spot for G6 schools? If so, likely an easier route to playoffs than would have at UConn.

Well, now that I know Josh is OK with Fitz, I am all in.
Fitz always struck me as a bit of a goof, but no one can say he isn't at least a good if not real good coach. If he's been cleared of wrongdoing, there is no reason for Illinois to be on their high horse about it. Somebody will pick him up & our luck is such that if someone else in the Big gets him he'd beat our !!! for a decade after that.

Frankly, with NIL, this is more of a bottom line business than ever before. And it's always had a bit of a dirty underbelly. No problem bringing guys in that can advance the program even if they have a few skeletons in the closet. Of course there is a line to draw, but if he was guilty of anything it may have been being too naive or not plugged into all the aspects of the program like he should have been. TBH these coaches have been conditioned to operate in a "don't ask, don't tell" mentality whether it came to paying players, enticing recruits, etc. Not too surprising that mentality would extend to other areas of a program that didn't directly involve on field performance. Is it pretty & neat, no, but it's the reality of the game.

Experts(?) in StL think drink is heading to LSU...I don't think Baton Rouge would be happy about that nor should they be
Twice in the last 3 weeks a St Louis tv station (KTVI a couple nights ago) have mentioned the Franklin factor. Drink is a great recruiter, entertaining and exciting but he can't win the big one despite good talent.

I think 3 years ago, Mizzou is trailing South Carolina by 3 in overtime. As the Missouri running back is about to cross the goal line for the victory, with virtually no contact he fumbles the ball into the endzone. It rolls out the side, Carolina ball, game over. Mizzou fans like him but wonder if he can really turn the corner with that program

Drinkwitz to LSU might be a backup plan for them if the Kiffin thing falls thru. He's not their #1 target for sure. Ole Miss? Don't know if that's a step up from Miznoz or not. It's crazy out there and I'm glad we aren't on the train for a change.
