Yes and no. Both University would get the same amount of tickets, but they do not get all of them. There would various organizations around Nashville that also get tickets before they go to general public. They would likely be Tennessee fans.

Today will be a good Barometer on how committee views champ weekend. Bama does not look anything close to a CFP team right now. It is always difficult to punish a team for making their conference championship game, but being embarrassed in the game might move the needle if things are tight among the last ins.

I would agree, but I expect some major politics behind the scenes.
ACC is sweating, but so is Alabama. ND will politic their way in the field, which leaves the issue of potentially shutting out a major conference of a bid. Would not completely surprise me if Bama drops solely because of the magnitude of their defeat (gives committee a scapegoat excuse to keep ACC in the field).
