Another callout to Ben for how much better his feet are on defense when compared to last year.

I really, really hope KW comes back next year, what a joy it will be to watch him as a stronger player and a year of experience. We need more ‘wedding trip’ finds next year.

It looks like we are running 8 at the moment: Kylan, Keaton, Andrej, Mirk, Tomi, Ben, Z, Jake (he's getting 5-8 mpg in real games, and 15-20 in easier games).

I do agree that the lack of a 3rd primary guard is a major issue. Who should be the third?
- Mirk: The experiment with Mirk as a pseudo guard was interesting. I don't think it worked. It may work later in the season as he adjusts/matures. A guard needs to protect the ball. That lineup will have trouble with pressure/trapping.
- Brandon: Thus far I've been more impressed with Brandon than Petro. Is his energy and defense good enough to "eat time" while Keaton/Kylan rest? (And grow into more.)
- Petro: If it wasn't for the preseason hype, I'd have him in the same category as Blake right now -- fletch up, see you next season.

Unless something major changes, I'm concerned about the BTT. If we play to win, Kylan/Keaton may be dead come the NCAAs. Kids recover fast. Recovering from even 3 hard games in 3 days is a lot.

The rest of the roster (options to add to the rotation): Blake, Jason
TY - Team heart. Come back next year.
AJ - All the effort is appreciated
The biggest hole on the roster is that 3rd guard. Need Petro or Lee to develop so they can fill in when needed.

Z shoots 3's like Davis but adds shot blocking. Fantastic portal add - great backup center.

Kylan and Keaton should play 30 mpg not 38 mpg. We need to develop Petrovic as backup guard for injuries, foul trouble and stamina.

This is a deep talented team. It would be a mistake for Brad to go with 7 man rotation when we have talent to go 9 deep and be better team.

Yet when he tried that yesterday it lasted about 1 minute, and they were right back to the bench.

You can't lose games just to try and develop the 7,8,9 spots off the bench. They will fill in for foul trouble, injury, or straight matchups.

Kylan will only play 30 mpg if he's in foul trouble, and if you don't think Keaton should have played his 38 last night, you should put away that pipe.

You have the Southern game and PSU coming up, maybe that is where either Petro shows he can play or we just use Lee when we have to? That’s what I would try to do at least? I think Petro needs like a game he plays say 18 or more minutes in, and that is tough to come by now that the rotation is set?

It does seem that way. Petro needs more time. I expect he'll get better in practice, observing, and getting coached up. We're lucky he's on the bench and will have time to do so.

I hope Bozwell can get an additional year due to his age, don't think he will. If Boswell abd Petro leave, would like to add that guard from Colgate. Keaton, Lee and the Colgate PG would make a nice trio.

Not to harp on Boswell but he was absolutely atrocious last night. 4 points from a senior guard. Up 3 last night with a 1:30 left and he chucks a 30 footer.
Gave up 20+ points and wasn’t aggressive at all.
Can’t have those types of games come March. You’d think since this is his last year of college ball he would go all out every game.
He seems to turn it on and off when he wants to.

I think he had a rough game but that shoulder stinger is probably bothering him, not using that as an excuse but those suck. Can definitely have an effect on how you play. Even Keaton said he knew he had to step up offensively due to Boswell having an off night.

I legitimately think Anderson saw Big T signal to review the out of bounds call (clearly off OSU, knew it would be overturned) and he decided to call a foul 3 seconds later.

It’s just madness.
It does seem the refs are taking these challenges personally with their demeanor when players are signaling to challenge. I wonder how much say they had in this rule change decision. Being a ref strikes me as a profession that would appeal to people that enjoy a good power trip.

Maybe wasn't mentioned enough, but I think that's why they didn't have him fight through screens a whole bunch in the 2nd half of the Tenn game and also this game. No clue, honestly, it just made me wonder because you don't usually see that.

That play forever has been an unwritten rule in hoops where it’s probably an over the back foul, but even if it’s off the defense, they just get the ball - the review kind of changes that.

The problem is, he legitimately didn’t foul lol

The thing about Mirkovic is that he’s always giving you something. Even in his bad games, he’s still always in double figures, and consistent rebounding.

Other than a few bad turnovers each game (which he needs to cut down), just seems like a very good overall fit.
He is a high motor guy.
