Oof...did some sleuthing. Rumors out there, if true, are pretty crazy.

$100 says Lane has already called his people
No way on God’s green Earth would I bet you on that. I’d be shocked if it hasn’t already happened.

I’d put the O/U at programs who have already reached out at 9.5, and I’d probably take the over.

"While Manuel cannot control the alleged behaviors of Moore, or the refusal of Jim Harbaugh to cooperate with the NCAA, or Connor Stalions massively complex cheating ring, or the need to conduct an investigation into alleged computer crimes as the school's firing former offensive coordinator Matt Weiss, these all are just recent examples of football scandals unfolding at Michigan in an athletics department under Manuel's purview."

The textbook definition of lack of institutional control, if that was still a thing.
I'm sure it's still a thing for teams like Georgia Southern. It never was a thing for the blue bloods.

Also for schools where they investigate for 18 months, find virtually nothing, and have to justify what they did.

Not that we know about that or anything….

That would seriously impact theratings where the TV contract is king.

You'd see a lightening fast change in the portal rules.

Truth is stranger than fiction. You couldn't make sh*t like this up. Jump on at 9:00pm and shazam some craziness going on in here

Ok, but they'd essentially be guaranteed a berth every year in in that scenario.

There's a reason why they're able to negotiate their way into a top 12 guarantee no one else has...

ND is *always* (nearly) going to be guaranteed a berth ... The CFP is a media event... it's NOT a tournament to decide which team is actually the 'best' for a given year... It's a made for TV product that needs to draw a large audience, so the networks can sell ads, so the money can be given out to schools via the media contracts... ND draws audiences - they have great PR/Spin doctors who have talked up their brand for 40+ years, just like the SEC has done... ND attracts advertising money... That's why the CFP people like them...

Man there really ain't no sport in the world like college football..crazy.

Ironic that this is all coming from these so called upstanding "Michigan men". Literally had a basketball coach fight an opposing coach. Caught literally cheating on their way to a natty (coach then immediately takes NFL job to get outta dodge), now this.

If you sincerely believe the admin was "waiting for an internal investigation to finish" ....I have some beachfront property in Tuscola you might be interested in.
