Illinois wins kind of comfortably with Stojakovic and Boswell being our leading scorers, 86-75.
I've gone on an absolute goose chase for this stat... I went through each B1G opener between 2008-2011 and could not find anything where 2 freshmen team mates both scored 20+ points.Nope I checked, and it’s out of all B1G teams not just Illinois… I initially thought the same, that it had to be Paul and DJ
Oh and your 2nd post: hmm maybe? But it said 16 years so that year would be < 16? Now I have to go double check anyhow
Edit: nope wasn’t them either… this is gonna bother me now lol
Descending into that fetid rabbit hole will not end well.I've gone on an absolute goose chase for this stat... I went through each B1G opener between 2008-2011 and could not find anything where 2 freshmen team mates both scored 20+ points.
Either this stat is an AI hallucination, falls within a different time, or somehow I missed it during that period. Maybe we need to outsource this one to reddit or something.

.Not to Quibble FURTHER (re-quibble?) but Two freshmen to score 20+ points on the road against a quad one team and also lead the team in rebounds and assists (and maybe taking out the trash and doing the laundry) since...forever....oh yes, in their big ten debut.I don't want to quibble with our excellent social media team, but they didn't simply both score 20+ in their BT debuts. They scored 20+ ON THE ROAD in their BT debuts. Let's not hide their lights under a bushel.
Just guessing Brandon Paul and DJ Richardson...Does anyone know who the last pair were to do it? I just went through all of the box scores of B1G teams from the 08-09 & 09-10 seasons to try and find it, but couldn't.
I did the same thing!I've gone on an absolute goose chase for this stat... I went through each B1G opener between 2008-2011 and could not find anything where 2 freshmen team mates both scored 20+ points.

It's not an issue when the other team has a traditional center, but if Nebraska decides to abandon the paint, which like for most centers is the Ivisic comfort zone on defense, that's the problem. Tomi's also probably the slowest player on the floor when facing Nebraska, so we could end up in 5v4 situations just from him not getting back in time.I don't quite understand all this dissing of Ivisic brothers on defense. Sure, they're not Bill Russell or Wilt Chamberlain, but Tomi in particular is disciplined on D, footwork where it belongs, and he's not easy to back down. Both brothers block shots.
I'm not going to sweat it...#FOTN will knock this one out during his lunch hour, just give him time!I've gone on an absolute goose chase for this stat... I went through each B1G opener between 2008-2011 and could not find anything where 2 freshmen team mates both scored 20+ points.

Can someone with Twitter send them a DM and ask? lmaoStatMuse is usually great for things like this, but it wasn't able to tell me (maybe just how I worded the question?)
But I thought the response it gave me was somewhat humorous, ha:

Someone cue The Dude gif.
Tilly (OSU) had 13 & 8 but efficiency was poor and fouled out
Reibe (UConn) had 8 & 7 in 22 mins
Sherrell (Alabama) couldn't stay on the floor, 4 fouls in 9 minutes
The one game vs ranked opponent where Tomi did not play, Toppin absolutely feasted
Though the overall talent of a Tilly, Reibe or Sherrell is questionable and certainly not at Mast's level
Going back to last season, I recall Tomi really struggling with more traditional bigs like Reese, Malauch, Mark Mitchell, etc. and shined vs stretch bigs like Nate Bittle, Z (vs Arkansas), Igor Milicic Jr, Dawson Garcia, etc.
Has anyone seen Mast run? I think he is slower than Tomi... he was out for a year after a knee surgery... idk... he is exceptionally strong, a very good 3 point shooter, excellent passer, and has some post moves but he is no athlete
I believe the proper syntax is ampliquibble..Not to Quibble FURTHER (re-quibble?) but Two freshmen to score 20+ points on the road against a quad one team and also lead the team in rebounds and assists (and maybe taking out the trash and doing the laundry) since...forever....oh yes, in their big ten debut.
When I was in college we walked five miles in waist-deep snow to get to games at the Assembly Hall.Snow is at the worst possible time!
Maybe a quiet arena….hoping for some Northwestern football type of vibes from the players and fans - gotta create your own energy!
I was doing that in pre-school during nap time. When I was in college we walked five miles in waist-deep snow to get to games at the Assembly Hall.
In both directions. During finals.
It could be because I'm skewed watching his highlights to catch up, but he doesn't appear slower than Tomi.Has anyone seen Mast run?
