Mast just seems like a guy who needs a t shirt on under his jersey. Shoulders look greasy. And on a similar theme ,noticed when they played Wisconsin most wear sports bras? What would the purpose of that be?
It could be because I'm skewed watching his highlights to catch up, but he doesn't appear slower than Tomi.
I set the time in this video to when he scores and runs across the court, he initially takes it a bit slow to celebrate but then picks up speed.
Do I need to bring up the Kentucky game on 12/24/83? Well since you asked, at game time the temperature was -13 and there was an a**load of snow on the ground from the previous week. Weather conditions were so bad that the scheduled referees couldn't make it into Champaign, so they pulled 3 High School refs from the stands. School was obviously not in session. And there were still 7k+ fans who made it out for the game. It obviously wasn't as loud as it would have been with 16k fans, but it was a great crowd nonetheless. Definitely one of the more memorable games I have attendedWhen I was in college we walked five miles in waist-deep snow to get to games at the Assembly Hall.
In both directions. During finals.

Oh man. Memories. I'm so jealous.I was there, after fish sandwiches and beer from The Deluxe!
I was a high school senior so not around for that one but of course have heard the lore. That inspired me to train diligently to walk uphill in arduous conditions to and from school that winter after Christmas break. Served me well in Champaign, particularly heading into the wind.Do I need to bring up the Kentucky game on 12/24/83? You forgot uphill and against the wind both ways. (It actually may have been a foot change in elevation). When I was in college we walked five miles in waist-deep snow to get to games at the Assembly Hall.

Looks like IL -8.5 to open
Uphill both ways! (Edit - Germanboxers beat me to it)When I was in college we walked five miles in waist-deep snow to get to games at the Assembly Hall.

Well, after checking Google, he was their coach from 1956 to 1985. Centennial opened in 1966, the year after I graduated from High School. Still have a mind like a steel trap (albeit an old steel trap that is rusty and non-functional).Methinks I remember Lee Cabutti as being the hoops coach at Champaign H. S. pre-Centennial era. Am I right? Pretty sure.
And the snow was so deep you actually walked across the fences to keep the animals in the fieldsYou forgot uphill and against the wind both ways. (It actually may have been a foot change in elevation).
Were they better than the current Big Ten...nevermind.Refs did a remarkable job.
This reminded me of a wonderful time from my childhood. I lived in Champaign, and back in the late 70's it snowed so much that we couldn't open our front door and school was cancelled for what seemed like a week. When we finally got out, all the kids in the neighborhood put on our snowsuits and organized a massive neighborhood snowball fight. My backyard had bushes that were probably 5ft tall and ran 40 ft along the fence. They were deep too. The snow drifts allowed us to climb up to the top of the bushes, and it was cold enough that the structure of the bushes froze, meaning we could tunnel inside them and walk along the top. That was the front line for the greatest snowball fight I've ever been a part of, and eventually we put on ski goggles and brought out the BB guns. It was awesome! And the snow was so deep you actually walked across the fences to keep the animals in the fields
low scoring game but it gave hint of how good that 83-84 team was. Lost to Sam Bowie, Mel Turpin and Kenny "Sky" WalkerWere they better than the current Big Ten...nevermind.
