I’d really like to believe that Inderwood can win a title here. Games like this that seemingly happen at least 5 times a year make me just assume it won’t ever happen with him

Frankly I’ve not trusted his coaching since the Loyola game. His teams repeatedly come unprepared and not ready to play. And get burned every single time.

Nebraska outcoached us outhustled us outplayed us and deserved the win.

I remember when Illinois was unbeatable at home. Freaking figure out Brad. Pathetic
That was back in the day before teams had bigs that could/would shoot from the arc. When both teams have lineups of all shooters and big time athletes, it is pretty much a shootout and coaching adjustments. Huskers were 12-26 and Illini were 10-29. 46% to 35%. That is a rare win on the road They were better prepared and executed better....coaching.

Brad should have challenged the play instead of yelling at the ref that it was bull!!!!.
You can’t challenge fouls unfortunately unless to look to change to/from a flagrant or who the foul was on or who should be the correct shooter for the foul. But you can’t challenge if they missed a foul call called one when they shouldn’t have.

There are a lot of people on this board that are either really ignorant about basketball or can’t think clearly after a loss. Shouldn’t have lost this game. Had too many minutes of poor play. But calling this team “mediocre” or “should not anywhere close to ranked” are so over the top it’s ridiculous. I’m embarrassed for the people saying things like that.

Teams will lose at home and still contend for the title. Purdue lost by something like 30 points in Mackey last week.
Amen Brother.

You naysayers have judged him too quickly. He is the MVP of the Adriatic league. He was late arriving and getting cleared and he has been injured. It’s time to give him some tick again. He will add more depth and give Bos and Keaton a breather.

He turns the ball over. Misses his layups. Is a poor rebounder. Some day maybe he contributes. But he’s not the answer to today’s issues.

He has not brought consistency. If he did we would not have these chat boards so often each year
5 tournaments in a row, only one where we made it past the first weekend. That's pretty consistent. I didn't say consistently great, but at least we're in the tournament every year becuase that wasn't the case before. I don't think he'll ever be a coach that makes us a consistent top 10 program.

As well as a TERRIBLE call in the final minute to give them two FTs. I hope that foul call gets addressed. Guy drives on Tomi, shoots an elbow to the throat, and gets a foul call.
As a Husker fan that way a tough call on you guys for sure. A little body but that almost never gets called.

Overall I thought you guys got a few too though but that's normal and B1G refs somehow are some of the worst.

One of the things I dislike about underwood the most is that he always starts the same 5 in the second half, even if they played horrible in the first. Why are we rewarding players that play soft and zero energy in the first half with a second half start. Play the players that are willing to play hard.

Man…people bailing on this team and writing them off after 11 games, where we are 8-3 with all 3 losses coming to ranked teams…is just wild.

Yeah, we probably should have won this game, and we all hate a loss at home…but its a long season, and the team is still a work in progress. Will it come together? Who knows…but thats why we watch, and why we care. I just don’t get people jumping off bridges over this one.

I will say that I feel better about this team than last season’s team. They seem to just have more grit than last year’s team, even if they have some of the same defensive flaws.

So don’t jump off the bus…just strap in for the season and enjoy the ride, even if its sometimes bumpy.

You will see him in the Southern game, but if our defense is bad as it with him on the bench I am afraid of what it looks like with him playing? I guess we will see because Brad will always be Brad. Speaking of, where was DM for the second half?

Free Petro 🤣

Keaton has shown nothing to be taken off the court and our best shooter/player IMO. Boswells our best defender.

I hope Petro is able to have moments this season. But watching this game, at no point was I thinking "hey let's get Petro in there".
