Agree, decent loss here. He and Hood would have a nice backbone to the LB group next year. Need to retain Hood.
Rumor circulating of Elzy going to one of this year's CFP qualifiers (not in the B1G). If true, good for him. We'll see.

I wonder it's ECU's katin Houser? 3,300 yards passing last year. Probably not going to cost you an arm and a leg, but will still get decent money, which would be in Illinois price range.
If it's someone already announced in the portal, then I'd guess it's either of these four: Old Dominion QB, USF QB, JMU QB, or East Carolina QB.
If it's someone yet to enter, then possibilities are still hefty.

Two of those guys are following their HC. One of them will command a very lofty bag. The last would be underwhelming, IMO - he was not good at MSU.

Hauser was there a couple of years a go. He had a pretty decent year this year. I could think of worst options than him.
I don't know why Barnett would go to UCLA considering Nico's returning. I agree Brown likely follows Golesh.
