Exactly why they should have been going hard after Abrams from Montini the whole time. Kid is special.Tennessee 247 reported a couple days ago that Lopati intends to visit Tennessee at some point

i’m a lefty , so I can say this :
AVOID LEFTY QB’s
While fully acknowledging that W-L record is not the only metric, let me just note the following records over the past four seasons:Here are 19 schools. Difficult to say we are a top 17 school. I think calling us an average P2 program is probably a more fair assessment.
Ohio St.
Penn St.
Michigan
Indiana
Oregon
Washington
USC
Iowa
Bama
Texas
Texas AM
LSU
Florida
Tennessee
Ole Miss
Georgia
Missouri
Vandy
Oklahoma
We haven’t had a better BT record than Iowa for like 15 consecutive years.Pulling from your list above...........
16. Iowa
17. Washington
18. Vanderbilt
19. Mizzou
I'd say Bret Bielema's 2025 brand of Illini football (in this new NCAA world) compares very favorably to those last 4 teams. So perhaps top half, and absolutely hovering in the area of "AVERAGE".
Actually, I tend to agree. (I had to go back 50 years to find a good counterpoint.).I loved Kenny as a kid specifically because he was a lefty.
But the "Great Lefty QB's " book is really like a pamphlet. Lots of reasons why, really.
Kinda like lefty catchers and infielders (not first basemen) in baseball.
So this is just based on this season? Because outside of this season, what has Vandy done to show they are a better program overall than us? Absolutely nothing. How do we know any of this carries forward post Diego Pavia? All the money stuff is well and dandy but we really don't know how much money is going in, or if it will be used wisely. Certainly don't know enough to say it's a better program than what we have.We haven’t had a better BT record than Iowa for like 15 consecutive years.
Washington KILLED us this year and just played for the National Championship.
Vandy is probably easily top 10 in the country in football investment right now.
Wake me up when Mizzou beats a winning team. Historically they've been no better than us, and if we're talking about this season, they had a 0-5 record against teams who ended the season with a winning record. Most overrated team in the country and it's not even close.Missouri has an extremely good program.
I don’t think the rest of the country thinks we have a better program than those schools. We have greatly improved but saying Illinois now has a better program than Iowa, Washington, Vandy and Missouri is a biased opinion.
Maybe he’s waiting to see who wins the bowl game before fully committing/sTennessee 247 reported a couple days ago that Lopati intends to visit Tennessee at some point
Missouri was 26-5 in their previous 31 games when their QB got hurt this year.So this is just based on this season? Because outside of this season, what has Vandy done to show they are a better program overall than us? Absolutely nothing. How do we know any of this carries forward post Diego Pavia? All the money stuff is well and dandy but we really don't know how much money is going in, or if it will be used wisely. Certainly don't know enough to say it's a better program than what we have.

Rest of the country also thinks the SEC is better than the B1G, but for the 2nd year in a row that narrative appears to be going up in smoke in the postseason. At this point the ACC and Big 12 look better than the SEC
I didn't argue with Iowa and Washington.Missouri was 26-5 in their previous 31 games when their QB got hurt this year.
Iowa and Washington and in the Big Ten. Under what metric is Illinois better than Iowa and Washington? It’s not on the field or wins and losses.
Vandy....LOL. FSU, Clemson, Miami, ASU, T-Tech, BYU, probably UNC aren't P2, but otherwise belong on the list. Here are 19 schools. Difficult to say we are a top 17 school. I think calling us an average P2 program is probably a more fair assessment.

Let him go on the visit. TN is low class. Hopefully he sees it too.Exactly why they should have been going hard after Abrams from Montini the whole time. Kid is special.
Hopefully he watched the game today.Tennessee 247 reported a couple days ago that Lopati intends to visit Tennessee at some point
weighing in on olano. i would love to see him back but if we are 15-20 on the dollar available
scale, we probably need to focus on "bang for your buck". that isn't a kicker, but QB, WR, OT,
DT, LB, DB. and maybe multiple WR's, DT's, DB's and LB's., maybe a center, Interior lineman too.
even our big dollar guys money is going to run out.
