What did Ole Miss see that made them want to go for it on 4th down all the way back in their own end?

Edit: Not that it matters now, I guess.

LOL. B10 refs, man. Kirby has conceded game and shaking hands and they want to play 1 more second. Clowns, man. Unbelivable.
I doubt that Kirby knew that there was one second left on the clock when he was shaking hands. So I doubt he was truly conceding the game at that point. Besides that there is no rule that allows a coach to concede the game. Has to be played out. If it were Illinois I think we would want that last play from scrimmage. Strange things can happen.

He’s dead as soon as he touches it cause his knees are down. Like a touchback on a kickoff.

I didnt know a recovered Kick by a player laying down effectively meant 0 time elapsed.

Seems illogical.
I don't think anybody did. That would have been an all time "Do you believe in miracles" moment if Georgia some how pulled off that final desperation lateral.

ESPN game tracker was apparently very confused. Showed Georgia kicking a FG at one point to go up 37-34. Then shows Ole Miss up 39-34 with one second left. Georgia ball. Then showed it as Miss ball, then back to Georgia. WTF?
It had me completely baffled, too.

Weirdly enough, the officiating at the end of the game was all correct. The refs never declared the game over. It's not their fault the players and coaches came on the field or that they started wheeling the stage out. The biggest mistake made was Ole Miss not touching the onside kick.
