The IU CFP win was a just one more piece of evidence we're living in the upside down version of reality. I think it flipped when the Cubs won it all in 2016.
This is the only real comparison I have to what IU just accomplished.

By 2020, Leicester City was back to its usual status. They currently reside in English soccer’s second division.

My wife and I found this as entertaining as the game itself. We were watching the 4k feed on Fubo, which doesn't cut to commercials at each break. My wife was confused and asked why we were watching the back of these fans' heads. I explained it to her and said they probably have no idea they are on national TV right now. At the next break, the dude opens his phone and someone had texted him pics.

Long live Jenny & Biff:

I remember 20 years ago obsessively playing NCAA Football 2K3 on PS2 and winning national championships with the weirdest unlikeliest teams possible. Colorado State national title? Yes. A natty for Bowling Green? Why not. This will always feel like some version of that to me. Like somehow we’re all trapped in the Xbox fantasy of some random middle schooler in Terre Haute.

OK. We aren’t real big on anything Hoosier in These-Here-Website/Blog-Parts.

BUT... take a wide-angle overview of College Sports.

If you are an honest sports fan... you have to be impressed and maybe awed a bit by what Indiana football did this year. This kind of season and turn-around is truly of Biblical proportions. Biblical scholars right now must be combing the texts to find prophecy of this Indiana season somewhere in there.

To say what they did was amazing is not strong enough. It is almost impossible and hard to comprehend. Yet, they did it.

You don’t have to be an Indiana fan. You don’t have to like it. But it’s hard not to be amazed by it.

And guess what? What they did gives hope to every other football program in America that they can find a way to do it to. Places that favor colors like Orange and Blue!

We all know how fundamentally the College Ball World has changed. But it can still be fun as hell whatever it turns out to become...

The last three Big Ten national champs Mi, Ohio State and Indiana. Which of the three teams would be the best? I think last years Ohio State.

Truly a tough guy to sucker punch a dude in the face while you're wearing a helmet.

Sure seems like battery to me..

We have to win a bball championship soon. I thought Loosier fans were obnoxious when they won a title decades ago. Theyre about to be so unbearable

Finding it really hard to make any argument other than Indiana. I mean the team seriously just went 16-0 and handily beat almost every team they played (including an average of 25 points in the CFP). The Ohio State team did not even make the conference championship game after losing to Michigan. Michigan went 15-0 when they went on to win the title, but they only had to win two games in the CFP. For that reason, I have to think the order would be: IU, Michigan and then Ohio State. Hard to say a team is the best of the three when they had two losses during the season.

Agreed. FPI isn’t perfect, but it had Indiana far and away the best of the 3:

Indiana: +31.5
Ohio St: +27.9
Michigan: +28.4

You have to go back to 2020 to find a team better than Indiana, 2020 Alabama with a +35.9

They would have been good games to watch. We should have beaten Mich at their home.

It seemed to me that Cristobal was in major disbelief mode when interviewed after the game.
I don't think he was ever going to lose to Indinia.

I never thought I'd live long enough to root for anything Indiana. But I was pretty happy to see them win it all last night. What IU football did in two years should give hope to just about everything.

Illinois connection on the IU staff.
Coached the winner of Heisman trophy and QB of natty is a pretty good resume for Chandler Whitmer (redshirt QB 2010).

ha, i think that's the guy that cig was yelling at when they ran out of time in the first half.

The defensive line questions are driving a lot of people on here bonkers. I get where you are coming from but I definitely trust the coaches to get the right pieces together. In review of last nights game. I really don't care for Indiana but I am glad they took down Miami. Never have liked the U. Next year, if it is not us, I hope it is Oregon and not an SEC team. I noticed ESPN has already come out with their SEC biased way to early top 25. Will Illinois ever get a ship? Need more money. Plain and simple. I think our coaching is good enough.

Depends on how much 'scouting' Michigan had pre-game on their opponent. Without the cheating, I don't think they were nearly that good.

IU, OSU, Mich

Its surprising to me that any Illini fan would wish anything good to happen to Indiana. Screw them and their fake-football fans.
