Of course, but this was supposed to be a breakout year for TSJ. That was the word coming out of the T'Wolves org. Just been a massively disappointing year for him. I think he'd be successful if he got regular time, but for whatever reason, he's just not getting the opportunity. It sucks, and I imagine it's frustrating
The "whatever reason” is he’s been out with an injury for 23 games this year:

I always like Riley more than KJ, especially the driving game. TSJ is certainly a disappointment this season. I am not sure who should be responsible for that. I think the foot injury didn't help.
It’s a grind, it’s a job. TSJ is the same player, just needs to get healthy, keep putting the work in, and wait for his opportunity. Ayo is the role model, work, work, work. I personally believe his breakout will start next year but maybe with a different team.

Don't know if this is the best deal for Bulls but I don't mind them getting TSJ out of Minnesota.
I guess the value is getting White off the books and Conley has an expiring contract, so frees up money. Otherwise, as fun as it would be to have TSJ as a Bull, not a great deal.

I'm not sure what you think I was trying to say in my original post, but all I was saying is, to me at least, it's surprising. There was a lot of talk in the offseason that TSJ was going to get more opportunities this year. It hasn't happened. I guess you saw that coming though and are not surprised. Good for you!

3. Explore trades with those seven players on expiring deals.
ESPN asked team executives which of the seven players had the most trade appeal. The unanimous answer was Dosunmu.

Dosunmu is earning an appealing $6.5 million salary and is averaging career highs in points (14.3), field goal percentage (51.3) and 3-point percentage (44.6). The team trading for him will inherit his Bird rights, allowing it to exceed the salary cap in a new contract. Dosunmu can sign up to a four-year, $86.9 million extension with Chicago until June 30.

Because he got drafted by a really good team with really good established pros in front of him. Wolves love him.
While that may all be well and good, if they love him so much then they should be playing him more when healthy.

I get they have a lot of talented players, but if you think highly of the guy then figure out how to get him on the floor.

additional context- Ayo's 8th start of the year with a W on the road vs Mia. Bulls were crazy shorthanded (no Coby, Vuc, Giddey, Smith, Jones- 6 of 9 highest paid players). nice W and sniffing at a triple double while leading all scorers

Stacey King (with 39 sec left in the game)- "Ayo scored or assisted on Bulls' last 15 points"

and after tonight's 5/6 3pt effort, his season 3pt % is up to 46.6%...that is a dominant erupt

The night before, playing a make up game vs. the same Heat, but in Chicago, he looked good, especially late. I was there. He didn't do much in the first half, but played great in the second.
