I mean, there was precisely one single thing Iowa was great at on offense, at that was the quality and utilization of the tight end. So if that's Ferentz, I'm all for it. Plus, anything that steals away from Iowa's TE game, I'm all for. Question will be though if he is able to recruit high quality TEs to a place who hasn't really used them as passcatchers from scratch, or whether those recruits were already attracted to Iowa because of how great the TE position has historically been there. Not saying that doesn't work hand in hand, but Ferentz doesn't strike me as the most inspiring recruiter and recruiting from the sub-basement isn't exactly the same as recruiting from the penthouse. That said, yeah, he did wonders at the TE position at Iowa and we would be very very fortunate to have him if he got us up and running there.
