Honestly this win streak and back-to-back top 5 road wins almost doesn't feel real. I grew up watching the Groce era so it was ingrained in me that these kinds of things can't happen to an Illini team. I had a similar "am I dreaming?" feeling when we won the BTT in 2021, the B1G regular season in 2022, and when we made the Elite Eight in '24. Hopefully there are similar achievements in store for this great team! 🔶🔷

If it wasn't for Wagler's generational game at Mackey....we'd be talking about that second half for a really long time.
I cannot get over how I am unable to give his performance in that 2nd half the true credit it deserves because I’m still fawning over his game against Purdue. He has allowed Illinois fans to experience thangs that were not possible before he wore the orange and blue.

Trotter said this team is like a boa constrictor (well actually he said cobra before Jeremy corrected him) and that’s what today felt like.

Survived a nuclear shooting half and stayed in the game. No crazy shooting. No magic. Just methodically ran our stuff and built a 10 point lead.

That is a d*mn impressive win. Maybe even more so than Purdue because it feels more sustainable/repeatable.

Keaton is just sofa king good. We had unleashed the beast. The zone works so well with Z in tier because no one is taking it all the way to the basket.

Their locker rooms look very uninspiring.

All the "experts" have him just outaide top 10. Been repeated videos and talks of it lately. Its always Dybantsa, Boozer, Wilson, Peterson (always on the bench), Peat, Acuff, and others. Its unreal...I swear these other schools pay them to rank their kids in the discussion so high.

Does Boswell's role change when he's back healthy? We are absolutely better with him in the lineup, but Keaton is initiating everything now and it's working great.
This a FANTASTIC question and one that is going to require Boswell to be a true team guy. Wagler has to continue to be the "go-to guy", the alpha and ball dominant. They have to be able to coexist in the backcourt and Kylen has to be ok being a role player. This could be a struggle. It's clearly been a struggle for Drej.

Another guy that you don't want to see lose minutes is Davis. He has become wildly valuable and cannot have minutes or role altered too much.

Brad has a lot to think about and getting Boz to learn a new role, 25 games in, is going to be a challenge.
