Based on the committee's Top 16 bracket preview and the games since then, here's my guess at the current seeding:

1) Duke
2) Michigan
3) Arizona
4) UConn

5) Florida
6) Houston
7) Iowa State
8) Illinois

9) Purdue
10) Nebraska
11) Gonzaga
12) Texas Tech

13) Kansas
14) Michigan State
15) Alabama
16) Virginia

Michigan State might be a 2 seed now. No chance they would be 14th

OK, so the last #2(us) goes in the region with the first #1 (Duke). But who is the #3 in that group. Cannot be Purdue or Nebraska, and I don't think they want to pair us with TT, so do we get Gonzaga as our 3 in the Sweet Sixteen? I can live with that. Then if only MSU could be the #4 and beat the crap out of Duke in the same round, albeit in a losing effort...

Personally think Gonzaga should be a 4. Though, not sure who you move up. Maybe MSU?

Not that st Mary’s is bad but they don’t have enough quality wins for me.

How about a reverse of 1989? Lose to Michigan twice (BTT final) and beat them in the Final Four to win the national championship.

How much did the loss last night hurt Gonzaga in the committee's eyes? (they didn't have one of their best players)

The game vs. Purdue on BTT Friday QF will be a dog fight. Winner gets a 3 seed. Loser becomes a 4 seed.

MSU will likely move up to a higher 3 seed as of Monday bracketology.

Can MSU be a 3 in a region where we are the 2? We'd meet in the round of sixteen and I thought that was a no no.

Why? The other three teams are SIGNIFICANTLY more dominant. It’s not even close.
IMO there is not a chance we’d beat any of those 3. Our vaunted offense never shows up against the truly elite teams Barring an absurd game from deep we’d have zero shot.

Nope.

Winner gets a 2 seed. Loser gets a 3 seed.
Just to clarify… AT WORST a 3 seed. Even if we lose, we could still remain above Purdue. We beat them at Mackey.

Illinois has definitively the better metrics, currently a better Q1 record, more Q1A wins.

Zero chance we’re falling to a 4 unless we lose a Q3 game.

That is very possible. Wisconsin won @Michigan and @Illinois. Not like beating Purdue at Mackey this year is some impossible feat.
I wouldn’t mind beating Wisky on Friday but I would rather have the higher NET team as we are fighting for seeding and a win over whomever is higher would be a benefit.

What I would be disappointed in would be a Quarterfinal matchup with PU, a loss and now PU is a 2 seed, while the Illini fall to a 3 seed.
