What I would be disappointed in would be a Quarterfinal matchup with PU, a loss and now PU is a 2 seed, while the Illini fall to a 3 seed.

I wouldn’t mind beating Wisky on Friday but I would rather have the higher NET team as we are fighting for seeding and a win over whomever is higher would be a benefit.

Yep. We would unquestionably get a bigger boost by beating Purdue on a neutral floor than by beating Wisconsin.

Purdue is rated higher than Wisconsin by a significant margin in NET, Pomeroy, Torvik, Maya, Bracket matrix, etc…

Yes, lol. Could definitely be wrong, but IMO it's unlikely Nebraska wins that game. The tipoff time is literally 10pm, and only one team in two years has swept the LA series.

Also -- Nebraska looked vulnerable against USC before CBM quit the team.

Didn't Nebraska have this weird upset several years ago against Wisconsin that gave us a share of the B10 title on the last day? I can see a repeat with Iowa beating Nebraska to give us a 3 seed.

Based on the committee's Top 16 bracket preview and the games since then, here's my guess at the current seeding:

1) Duke
2) Michigan
3) Arizona
4) UConn

5) Florida
6) Houston
7) Iowa State
8) Illinois

9) Purdue
10) Nebraska
11) Gonzaga
12) Texas Tech

13) Kansas
14) Michigan State
15) Alabama
16) Virginia

I think Kansas and Michigan are ahead of Gonzaga and Nebraska.
