From ChatGPT:

  • If you’ve used fewer than 4 seasons at NAIA and your five-year clock still has time left, you may be eligible to compete at the NCAA Division I school for the remaining seasons within that five-year window

I assume Ben got a waiver for this year because:

Year 1 NAIA: didn’t play
Year 2 NAIA: played (clock starts)
Year 3 NAIA: played
Year 4 D1: Evansville
Year 5 D1: Illinois
Year 6 D1: Illinois

The NCAA gives a 5 year clock to NAIA athletes transferring up to D1 and they start the clock when they start PLAYING NAIA not just attending.

For JUCO athletes, they don’t start the clock till guys get to the D1 or D2 NCAA level. NAIA they start it when you first start playing NAIA

thanks for posting nothing plus degrading the environment posting ai crap.

I realize this is high-schoolish, but I’d really like to see AJ Redd get a start tomorrow night. Sub him out at the first dead ball. Barring that, I sure as heck hope his teammates take care of business to the extent he’s on the floor when the game ends. By all accounts, he’s been an asset to the program.
Or use the first half use it or lose it timeout underwood doesn’t understand he has

Here's a really awesome article about one of our seniors, AJ Redd. You can't help but love the kid. He came to Illinois knowing his role would be very limited, but he just wanted to be a part of the Orange and Blue, regardless of what that role was. In today's "Where can I shine the most and make the most money? Me, me, me!" world of college basketball, it's truly a rarity anymore to see a kid pick a school and STAY with that school solely for the love of that school. And when you're lucky enough to land a player like that, you treasure him all the more:

The wall? He led the team with 23 points on 50% 3 point shooting and tied for second on RBs. What wall are we talking about here?

He’s 19. Lack of rest isn’t a problem.
This is the Illni board. Common sense can get you in all sorts of trouble.

38% from the field and 34% from 3 in the last 6 games(starting with MSU).

If you want to take out the MSU game and the Indiana one right after(his best game since) he's shooting 40% from the field and 29% from 3 in the last 4 games.

He's a special player but we're seeing opposing gameplans focus on him much like they did Kasparis last year. He's skinny and not an explosive athlete so every gameplan is basically just be as physical as possible with him and it certainly seems like he's wearing down a bit.

For some reason it seems too early to be Kylan’s Senior Night 😥. Maybe because he went to Arizona first or maybe because he started college a year earlier 🤷🏽‍♂️

But he’s been such a tremendous leader of this team. A calming presence and just a darn smart player. We’re really going to miss him. A lockdown defensive point guard who can also drive hard and finish the ball. I wish he could stay for another few years.

Win it and win it convincingly, no excuses on Senior Day, obviously at home.

NBCSN (Paul Burmeister & Robbie Hummel)

The Illini will honor Kylan Boswell, Ben Humrichous, and AJ Redd along with five student managers in a pregame Senior Night ceremony

Ok, we got Hummel, my fav, we are at home, we honor our seniors, their last game on our floor.

Just win

Well, just enjoy what we got while we got it. We may never see another like him, a hidden gem, his record at Mackey May last another 30 years

I always thought this board was full of peeps with multiple personalities so multiple accounts seems really really possible.....

it really really does..................

BTW , those of you with multiple accounts , will you worry if you start an argument with yourself ??......

I would , I really really would..................

He labored against Michigan but scored 23 on 17 shots. If you look at his last few games, he is not playing at the speed he played with earlier. Teams are defending him harder which in turn, makes it harder for him. Then entire team is fatigued by playing 8 guys almost the entire conference season while other teams are playing 9-10 double digit minutes.
