Like this question … I’ll give 5 for each … No particular order … With some details about each …

Over rated jobs:

Indiana … The fan support is there … But not like it was pre Cignetti days and they still expect championships …

Louisville … Kind of the same thing as Indiana … They want to win the ACC every year and win Championships … They are not Duke but they expect to be …

Alabama … Oats is doing more with less … He is the reason they have been as relevant as they have been … It just simply isn’t a top 5 SEC job and I’d argue it’s closer to 10 than 5 …

Iowa State … They get a lot of love publicly but they’re not a top 5 Big 12 job … Otz does more with less … Based on numbers I got they were like 9th or 10th this year in NIL in their own league …

Syracuse … People still somehow think this is a good job … The NIL support isn’t there … The facilities are meh … The administration is a mess … It would take the absolute perfect hire to make them relevant again …

Under rated jobs:

Nova … Fan support is incredible … They understand it’s the front porch of the University and support it … If you’re a halfway decent coach and evaluator … You’ll have success there …

Drake … It’s been the stepping stone for a ton of guys … So well supported there …

VCU … Kind of the same thing as Drake … The support is there and you are set up for success …

Miami FL … They’ve got HUGE investment … And the ACC is an easy league to finish 2nd in every year …

Bonus here … USF … They’ve got tremendous leadership and resources … And who doesn’t wanna live in South Florida ?

Coach Otz at Iowa State would be my pick at Illinois if BU were to leave in next 2-3 years. Payer continuity, high ranking, tough defense, lower NIL....

Once upon a time, he (or perhaps his wife?) were rumored to have been evaluating real estate in Mahomet. No idea how it originated or whether there's anything more to it, but an embarrassing number of people seemed to believe it.

But not as embarrassing as the number of internet posters who truly seemed to believe that this was an early picture of Bill Self.

People need to understand this was the early early days of the internet. People were also trying help a Nigerian Prince and avoid having a kidney stolen. This stuff was easy to believe by comparison.

I feel like that chart is sorted wrong. Ranking the coaches should note the improvement over preseason ratings, since those are based on player efficiencies and don't take the coach into account (they can't, there is no data on the coach). And it should be the rating improvement, not the rating placement (improving 100 spots is easier to do when you start at 200 than if you start at 150, lower teams are closer together overall).

Given those caveats, though, it's evident that Odom, Martelli and Willard helped their teams to a tournament berth, and Pearl, DeVries, Miller and Wade did largely the opposite (though two of them will play for the right to be in the tournament).
