IDK if I’d say our defense forces too much of anything really.Just one thing to add. While our defense generally does try to force opponents into those bad shots, we didn't need to do much convincing last night.
As long as the spelling police are out, then I'll be the units police: we don't say "degrees Kelvin"- it's just "Kelvin"How many degrees Kelvin is his seat?

this dude should be relegated to covering tiddlywinks or marbles games as he knows squat about the inner workings of college basketball......he can't be called a talking head as his thoughts come from further south nether regions......
They took low percentage jumpshots, and got nothing at the rim. In all honesty, all the FTs we bricked (including 1 and 1s) were way more costly.
CBS analysis/coverage has been very inept at points in this tournament. Including repeated lack of Wagler mention when highlighting all the other freshman.
And Mirk’s response was epic : “I can’t tell you. Secret.”Would
Yeah, he’s a joke. Lolthis dude should be relegated to covering tiddlywinks or marbles games as he knows squat about the inner workings of college basketball......he can't be called a talking head as his thoughts come from further south nether regions......

You just see this all tournament of just guys who clearly didn’t follow the season.Yeah, he’s a joke. Lol
BEFORE THE GAME: Illinois has ZERO!!! chance of winning.
AFTER THE GAME: Houston is a bad shot-shooting team anyway.
So which is it dude?? If they had ZERO chance that implies Houston has no weaknesses. (Say a “shot-shooting team”)
If they’re a bad shot-shooting team that gives Illinois better than a ZERO change. And you’re such a crackerjack ball-knower you would have surely mentioned that prior.
Sure there isn’t a little more to it, dude? Care to retract your asinine statement?
Or were just you caught doubling down on your initial overly simplistic/reductionist premise??
(got a little carried away there…sorry. Lol)
Why is Mashburn an AZ alumni when he played at Kentucky? You just see this all tournament of just guys who clearly didn’t follow the season.
I like Jalen Roses general takes; but once you start saying “well Illinois playing a bunch of 25 year old pros” you lose me not following that they are all college age and Z for example is in year 3+ of college.
Same thing I actually liked some of mashburn understanding the game and explaining things like how you hold up the ref if you got 4 on the floor; but it was clear all he watched was B12 all year being an AZ alumni.
Compare that to at least a guy like Jay Bilas clearly watches all the teams even if you don’t agree with his opinion.
Mashburn played at Kentucky. He was the star of the 1992 team that last to Duke on the famous Laettner shot. You just see this all tournament of just guys who clearly didn’t follow the season.

Fair but is the same macro point - they don’t actually know these teamsMashburn went to Kentucky.
Edit: OrangeBlue beat me to it.
Point is there's no reason for him to be a B12 homer.Fair but is the same macro point - they don’t actually know these teams
Didn't know that - and very much appreciate knowing now. So thanks to Dan here as well. And yes this community and poster board doesn't always agree - but a lot of very good discussion and information exchange with very few personal digs. Its good to disagree constructively. This board is far better than the other "option."Remember a few months back when @Dan was stressed/overwhelmed and didn't know if he wanted to keep this going?!? I am very thankful he did. This is a fantastic virtual community despite temporary frustrations. A HUGE thanks to Dan for creating and maintaining this. I know we don't always agree, but for tonight (and hopefully through the first week of April) we're all together and overjoyed.
Cheers, my Illini brethren!

Fellas… let’s not fight in this holiest of holy days.Point is there's no reason for him to be a B12 homer.
I remember watching the game because Terry Coner hit a heart breaking buzzer beater but I don’t remember us not attempting a FT. I tried to find that game online somewhere but can’t find the full game.
