Two top 40ish recruits making high 6/low 7 figures coming off the bench?

Would Jalen Cox be viewed as a potential starter in this scenario because that's a TON of backcourt depth if you bring in a Terrence Hill/PJ/Blackwell.

The phrasing leads me to believe that the staff is fairly confident that they are landing some top veteran guards when the portal officially opens.

Think Cox would start … If he came … I’ve not been very quiet that he’s been a target all year … We’re in a great spot there …

We’re going to go get a couple studs in the portal because frankly we’re going to have the funds to do it and Brad wants to get back to where we are right now …

Dang, we're going to have the money for all of that?

We’ve come into some additional funds just based off this run …

There’s some mega donors that will get the itch to give Brad a fatter check … Everyone wants to freaking win … And now Brad has gotten us to the spot those older donors remember … The good ol’ days … And it’s time to mash the f’ing gas …

Man, if we can retain eligible rotation players, a starting point of that skill, size, and experience (now including FF exp!) is such a great starting point. Of course there'd still be work to do, as we'd be losing the production from Wagler, KB, and BH, but we'd have such a solid front court to build around.

This all makes sense on donors but I wonder how this affects our recruits.

Are our recruits and potential recruits as hyped as we are? How much does this run help or do kids these days value it less because they think they can be the difference maker in their new school?

Love Ty … No one wants that kid back on the court more than me but he hasn’t played competitive HM basketball in 2 years …

He ain’t starting on next years team …
You wouldn't have been this nice about it if some clueless homer idiot had the gall to suggest 11 months ago that Jake Davis would wind up starting over Stojakovic in an Elite Eight game.

Predictions are hard, especially about the future.

While I agree with the premise, I learned a long time ago to never say never. Ty is an elite athlete with a high motor, huge desire to succeed and prove folks wrong, and obviously is an EDG who loves where he is. I will not be surprised at all to see considerable improvement in his offensive game....or not. He also is a plus rebounder and defender at HM level. The smart choice is to take a wait and see approach.

I would think big donors have been hesitant to invest in Brad up to this point. Now that he has a staff that has proven they can win big, the money is easier to invest.

Agreed, Mirk has the 4 spot on lockdown and Andre should get that spot back at the 3 next year id hope unless Brad stays with Jake for spacing. Ty is loved but he cant drive like Andre or shoot like Jake. It will be very interesting to see where Ty may fit given his lack of shooting with Andre, Mirk and the top recruits and transfers we have coming in. Ty is certainly able to play at this level. However, roster construction, particularly having multiple shooters on the floor for spacing is vital imo.

Be nice to have a lockdown defender with size and Ty could fit that role but I don’t see him as a starter unless he has truly improved his shooting from three, (Morez did). Impossible to know what final roster will look like but Tomi, David, Andre, Jake, Z and Lucas would definitely be in the rotation. Lucas as a 6’7” pg certainly fits today’s role but Brad has certainly been flexible in that regard.
