Svanson needs to get his head out of his A. Feels like he is focused more on nibbling than just pitching. He was filthy to end last year. I do think eventually he will be the closer.

And the lead has now completely evaporated.

Stanek is not a closer .............probably not a MLB pitcher..............lol , Rays now lead 5-4 top of 10th.......poor ole McGreevy gave up zero hits and was hoping BP could close out a 4-0 lead top of 9th.........

Jo Jo Romero would have been my closer choice starting the season............JMHO...........

THAT'S A WINNER !!!!!!!!

The legend of JJ Wetherholt continues to grow........Walk off 2 run single in the bottom of the 10th snatches victory from what would have been a horrible defeat as the Cardinals come back again for a 6-5 victory................Wetherholt is now hitting .333 with a HR and 4 RBI's in his first 2 games of the season and his career.........

Feel sorry for McGreevy after pitching 6 no hit innings...............BP is a worry right now but enjoy these 2 exciting wins and get ready for a big Illini victory coming up shortly..................wow , what an exciting 2 games so far for the Cardinals...........it really really is...

THAT'S A WINNER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!...............Cardinals shut out the Mets 3-0 behind the 5 scoreless innings by Cy Young Pallante and the great work by Graceffo , Stanek , Romero and the save by Riley O'Brien...................Urias with a solo smashed tater and 2 RBI's by Herrera...................

play for the series win in a matinee tomorrow.........LET'S GO CARDINALS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cardinals beat the Mets 2-1 in 11 innings on a bloop single by Masyn Winn..................glad he got the game winning hit and hope this gets him going at the plate..........

Liberatore with 6 very good innings holding them to the solo homer by Soto..........
another game of excellent BP pitching except for Roycroft.....I see Memphis in his near future......
great to see Stormin Gorman with the rbi single.......he is one of the many players I want to see succeed.............

LET'S GO CARDINALS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jason Marquis gave up 13 runs in 5 innings in 2006 for the Cardinals. Mike Busby surrendered 13 runs in 4 innings in 1996 also for the Redbirds. A few other pitchers have had similar numbers. At some point a manager just tells a struggling pitcher to take one for the team in order to not blow through the whole bullpen in one game.

I think the Marquis one was against the White Sox. Cards got smoked on the first two, I went to game three an we lost 1-0. I believe Anthony Reyes gave up one hit to Dye, a hr. I’m pretty sure my facts are right on that.
