I don't like UCONN. Never liked them. Just a snobby, entitled blue blood for 30 years.

The worst thing about UCONN winning is I have to watch Hurley strut, preen, and act like a jerk for one more game.

But.

I'm proud if this season's Illini team. The U of I is an "it" team, with the right coaching staff to sustain.

Wait. The canonical Blues are UNC, Duke, UK, KU, UCLA. Indiana is already on shaky ground but they’re a football school now (lol).

Did we have a committee meeting and decide UConn is a Blue?

Yeah, I'm not pissed. Bummed, but not pissed. I thought the game was called evenly by the refs and we just couldn't hit shots when open.

Yes, overall very well called game. I still think Wagler doesn’t get the whistle that most stars get, but that wasn’t a surprise.

Just played too much noonball and fell too far behind.

Frustrated solely because that was a very gettable game. Unlike 2024, we should’ve had that if we played to our capabilities (or even 75% of our capabilities), which plain sucks. That said, I’m proud of this team and they’ll forever be Illini history. I can’t wait to see the team that an experienced junior year Mirk leads back to this weekend. Calling it now. We aren’t done.

They played well enough to win aside from just making some shots. I’ve bagged on Brad a lot but he’s proved to be worthy. He will get them back there. Just once could we shoot well in this spot. Just once.

H Hurley and Hurley alone would make me a route for Michigan on Monday if they win tonight

Shut up kenny! The systrm had 0 to do with guys missng wide open looks n lay ups or banked in 3s. We lose opening possession second half on bens hreat jump.ball block. It was little things.

I cant pull for Michigan. Screw that

I thought their defense slowed us down more than we wanted. Ivisic and Mirk down low was working. Wagler pick and roll threes not so much. Andrej getting knocked off his drives a little in the second half causing some misses. Hard to play from behind with poor three point shooting. Guys all gave it their all. Was not much left in the tank with any of them. Thought is was a well coached game by Brad and staff. Just couldn't hit the shots or get any easy ones off quick ball movement. Great season. Look forward to the next one.

Another reason to hate Schyer we beat that Duke team. Felt like we let it slip, credit to Uconn, but still feel like we are better. Regardless, fun to be back, loved this team.

Great season and enjoyed the run, but sucks to miss this chance. It could be another 20 years before we get back here. Sounds silly, but I'm sure people in 2005 would have said that it was silly as well.

Yes. Let’s not take it for granted either. It was 16 and 21 years between them. This was a special season

Great job fellas. There's only one team that ends their season with a W. Heck of an accomplishment this year. It was a LOT of fun.

Bummer ending for Keaton(assuming he's gone) and Boz. They were both part of the critical stretch where we were up 1 with multiple chances to extend. Bad shot selections, careless turnovers and UCONN made us pay, which is what good teams do.
Can't shoot 6 of 26 and only have 3 assists. That's just not enough ball movement and it starts with the guards. At the next level, with only a 24 second shot clock, Keaton has to work on not letting the ball stick. Too many wasted dribbles.

We'll let this one settle in, let the body get cold and we can start with needs in the off-season. We have to get more athletic, especially on the wings. Drej was our only player on par with UCONN'S wings.

We just need more dynamic playmakers and to me....bringing Andrej back is a mandatory. I love Jake, but he can't play on this stage nor should be be expected to. He does one thing well and it's a great role to have.
