Up 22-21 ....gained control of game and miss 2 FT from your best FT shooter. Huge Turning point that no one will talk about
needed to out rebound then by 15 when you are throwing up bricks. tough offensive night. so many missed layups and just bad from 3. stopped going inside was a mistake
wasted opportunity. tough way to go out but great season! enjoyed it a lot!
I honestly think it was so much about nerves for Mirk on his shots and for keaton too in the first half. Tomi had the most experience of our guys and ut showed.
Pay the bank, keep the core and go back next year with experience and limited Fun! Vets!
i felt like we should have prioritized getting to the rack over everything else in the second half. really make those refs question how much "whistle" they were willing to swallow.

Crushed but grateful for the season as it was. Now we’ll always wonder how we would have fared against Duke.
I would say to people that now say we have to wait another 20+ years to get in this position again...BS!
This program is arguably in the best position it has ever been in.
We missed an opportunity, yes. But you keep knocking on the door and you will go through the door sooner rather than later.
I feel really confident we will be back!

Great defensive effort by the Illini, but poor shooting especially from deep killed our chances. UConn outplayed us and deserved the win. I could not be more pleased with the direction that Brad and staff have taken our program, and am extremely proud of our Illini. Our future is bright. We will survive this disappointing loss, and come back strong next season.
Wasn't really rebounding, more of a lack of variety on offense. Look at the plays UConn ran to get Mullins free. I didn't see us do any of that. Let Wagler work off ball, which we occassionally did in some other games. Get some cutters to the rim instead of parking everyone in the corner. We presented only one look which was Wagler with the soft/slip screens and couldn't get any sort of rhythm in the second half
Yep, missed calls certainly changed the game. Wagler was mugged and then Mullins gets a three point play. Other no calls underneath, then they hit a big shot. A few no calls certainly impact a game. Im glad we fought back but cold shooting was the difference. I can't stand Hurley.

This has been a great season..............disappointing end to the season but it does NOT detract anything from the joy this Final Four team brought to me this season..........................Being 74 yrs old I don't have 21 more seasons to wait for the next Final Four but with our staff and our recruiting successes as of late I doubt we will have to wait that long for the next FF trip..........
Great season.................if we had known of a FF season result before the season started I would have been very happy,,,,,,we now have had Sweet 16's , an Elite 8 and this year's Final Four..........
Thank you Illini for being such an exciting and important part of my life............I already am looking forward to next year and what thrills we will enjoy then...................

We’re getting closer, this was a far cry from the 30-0 run. We were a few shots that we normally make away from a win.
This has been one of the best seasons I’ve watched. This team and the guys on this team are so easy to root for and stand behind, they are just amazing kids. I hope and pray we use our resources so this excitement comes back next year! Super proud to be an Illini fan, but boy do I hate Hurley.
There aren’t enough words to describe my utter disdain for Hurley.
Having said that, we’re going to need to keep evolving to win a Natty. Offense bogged down quite a bit in games against top competition.

Did everything well enough to win, rebounded, got to the line, held them to 35% for the game….just couldn’t get the ball to go in for us.
Thankful for the great season and all, but I will be in angry mourning for a bit, cuz we sure as $hit didnt get beat by the better team.
