Not the result we wanted. They didn't play bad. Shots didn't fall and too many shots did not fall. However, the players should not hold their heads down. Hold your head up high! This team gave us a fantastic season and they've cemented themselves in Illini men basketball history. Cannot wait to see that Final Four banner get hang up in State Farm Center next season.

Went to Final Four without shooting the ball well in any game, and almost pulled out a miracle to get to championship game while shooting poorly.

A flawed shooting team that maximized results with effort and grit on the boards.

Sad to see season end, again, to UCONN, but at least today it was a winnable game. Simply did not shoot well enough to win.

With that said, I hope Hurley has a meltdown on Monday and his team gets beaten to a pulp.

Looking forward to banners being raised in the Fall. On to Portal Madness!!

I wish I could be positive and act like they gonna run it back, but in reality history says these opportunities are few and far between for this program. Pray I'm wrong.

Lost count of how many things could have changed the outcome of the game, right from the opening tip. Happy for Uconn, though, it's always great to see the same teams win all the time. Yeah right.

What a team! What a year, gents. Love it all! I will remember this year for a long time.

Too big of a 1st half hole. Would have loved 1/2 of Keatons 3pt attempts in Jake or Ben's hands, but the ball movement was lacking.

Jake actually played too much. Ben and Andre were solid on both ends except for Dres FTs.

Was a good year still the missed 3 my keaton tp cut it to 2. Tomi saves n they score. Also karaban misses when we were down 4 and they get it and then mullins hit a 3.

Bruce Pearl sucks.

They got a number of lucky bounces and a banked three. We had a number just roll off, kylan had like 4 shots in the first half from point break and none rolled in.

Too many missed shots, questionable calls, and a ball that was magnetic to the rim for UConn. Too tough to overcome.

Proud of this team. Carved themselves into Illini immortality. Best part is that this machine is built to last. Bring back several of these current pieces while adding in a few more gems, and this won’t be our last final 4. We’ll be back.

Great year and we need to take advantage of it now. Build off of it. The most disappointing thing is that UConn did not beat us….we beat ourselves. Everyone played hard and it just wasn’t our day.

Brad is now 0-3 vs Hurley but he is getting closer, next year we should be competitive depending who we have coming back.
