Love this team.

ANd with thevexception of the foul on Mirk and Keaton being fouled on our first turn over the refs did a good job
Get those guy next year when we kick UConn !!!.

These games are decided by such narrow margins, a bad bounce here and there. We shoot our season average for 3’s and Andrej’s bunny rolls in we win

An incredible run and season.

This just wasn’t a great shooting team. And in elite level games you ain’t missing and grabbing every board. Gotta make shots.

I despise Hurley but the dude can coach. He out schemed Brad.

This is just the beginning for us. Truly believe we are just awakening as a power program.

Many thoughts/angles to look at this. Purely from a game perspective, pretty much in it until the end despite a slow start, turnovers, being taken out of rhythm. Hurley's antics stink but FWIW, his actions and game-planning are absolutely pure. Give him a week to plan for an opponent and you see what happens. This is something I'd like to see our staff do. For a long, long time one of my gripes with BU was the lack of adjustments and X and O's. I will say I saw more adjustments this year than previous years so it's definitely possible. Tonight, I wish we would have moved away from the high ball screen with Keaton, just to give a different look. Hurley and co were clearly ready for that. I could go on and on with all the thoughts, but no point in that.

From a season-perspective, this team defied a lot of things we have seen in BU-led teams. They had their peaks and valleys but they stuck together and figured it out. This is what I'm most proud of. We never know what's happening in these kid's lives or behind the scenes. Absolute masterclass mix of veterans and everyone buying in. Also want to say whatever happens with AS, I'm extremely proud of that kid. I hope he comes back but if he doesn't and goes elsewhere, I cannot blame him. He got a lot of crap from the board and our fanbase but he responded a lot better than many of us would put in a situation like that. We couldn't have done it without him. I'm going to miss rooting for this team and seeing the way they handle themselves as men. I loved seeing how this team competed and fought with integrity and respect. They represented the orange and blue with absolute class and will love them for it. Big shout out to #3. With all the hate he got last year, he was a leader and upped his game in every way.

The only letdown this year was not seeing Ty get on the floor. Special group of guys. Enormous accomplishment playing in the final four. Unbelievable watching the freshman emerge this year. I pumped to see Tomi light it up this tournament. Hoping those playing college ball next year come back.

They had to have Boswell perform at a reasonable level and that didn’t happen. I understand the hand was a major issue, but he had one total basket the last 3 games.

Can’t survive that.

In the end, it was a great season. BU, staff and players deserve all credit.

And we are proud!

General rule (yes, there are exceptions): preseason Top teams usually go real deep in the tournament.

My point? Let's have a preseason Top Ten rankings every year.

According to some very reliable posters, this could easily occur, if things continue to work out.

They got some bounces on their shots as well as a straight in 3 point bank shot, a couple of our bunnies rolled around the rim and out. Just not good luck.

I thought a key stretch was when we had a 22-21 lead and several chances to extend it, we just couldn’t. It would’ve been nice to get a 4 or 5 point lead to maybe settle down our obvious nerves.

But, a great season, exceeding my expectations. Let’s keep this going.

Thank you Coach Underwood and the entire coaching staff for this year!! You have assembled one of our greatest and, maybe, our most entertaining teams to wear the Orange and Blue. They came together thanks to you and your staff and gave us a full year of ups, downs, forwards, backwards, sideways, and locker room water fights!!! I wish every year could be this fun and entertaining.

I've been a fan for 50+ years.
89 kick in the nuts pain 8
05 kick in the nuts pain 9
26 kick in the nuts pain 6, great year just couldn't hit shot's
Thanks Keaton, glad you got to get here. The NBA is enjoying Illini

Max 5 years to get back, and make noise

Agree, the first 2 final fours we were the best team. Feel bad for the guys but I think they reached their potential this year. Proud of this team. They were lots of fun and got us to the final fours. This one doesn’t hurt near as much as the other 2.

Watching the two offenses made me wanna pull my hair and I dont care about offensive efficiency, our offense is not dynamic. We "move like frozen pond water," or "like old people do it, slow." Choose whichever analogy you like. However, Uconn set screen, ran flex cuts, passed with efficiency, spaced the floor, and had multiple options because everyone moves.

This would be a time we could use a super donor who can throw huge money to retain our guys. I know it’s basically never going to happen, but getting enough money to convince Wagler to stay one more year would be huge for us.

I think another year for him to physically mature would also do wonders for him.

Proud of this team. Honestly, they made it further than I thought they would. We got some lucky breaks with who we had to face to get here. Small piece of advice for Brad….if you’re going to run a 5 out offense, it helps to have 5 shooters.

I hate to do it, but I have to give UConn fans credit. Outnumbered by a ridiculous amount, but they were LOUD. The ones in my section are also obnoxious AF.
Hurley was pretty funny when we were all booing him.
