They’re going to add a reliable big man off the bench … Ben type guy …

Cox is getting HUGE offers … He ain’t coming here to come off the bench …

Think more of a Malachi Smith, Feliz, or Harmon type of guy as a backup guard is what Brad is after …

The other 8 … Yeah that’s not a bad 8 … 😎
Is the thinking that this would be an equal opportunity offense in terms of setting the table? I like that — passing everywhere — but also feel like that starting 5 above needs a true table setter in the role Wagler filled this year. Feel a little iffy trusting Coleman can come in and do that.

Don’t think he’d be an EDG. More likely a headache waiting to happen

In reference to Haggerty. Phone is not working today

why? guy's a walking bucket. could be the POY frontrunner.

the Haggerty slander here for no practical reason has been quite weird.
Maybe because until last season he was .otvfrom a power conference. To me thats just nonsense. Now, id rather have a giy for more than a year but if they are a stud for one like Keaton as a freshman or Blackwell or PJ im.all for it if Brad likes the fit.

My wife met Cole Certa in the airport as he was returning home from his Fla. Bradenton prep school. She was very impressed with him as a person. My oldest daughter was an athlete at ND so I follow their various teams and have become a passionate football fan, especially after the Marcus Freeman hire.

For those reasons, I have been following Certa's development which has been quite steady. Due to some injuries, he became a focus scorer this year and responded quite well. BU likely would be quite interested as he has become an elite shooter with positional size...for a guard. He is in no way a replacement role player for Ben as he does not have Ben's athlelticism, rebounding strength, or defensive determination. He would be a great lockher room fit, but is likely looking for more $ than BU would want to spend for a guy coming off the bench. But, he had Illini interest out of high school so who knows? If we signed all the great looking prospects mentioned on here, the roster would be bigger than the football squad. But I would not question BU if he decided to go get Cole Certa, a better fit for certain than Dix. Also likely a far better peice of the puzzle than Mingo.

Now Blackwell is an entirely different story...and I think his Dad would like to write that story.

Despite his apparent shortcomings, the dude has been at the top of every opponents scouting report for years... He is ALWAYS the guy you have to slow down, or its going to be a long night. He's an elite shot-maker.

didn't he go to Kstate to play for and develop with jerome tang? that didn't age well...

I wouldn’t really call the haggerty questions slander. He’s a pretty efficient bucket.

But I think underwood(s) will make the offense elite no matter who’s in it. And what’s worked recently here is bigger guards who not only add some pop defensively, but rebound as well.

My reservations are less about the player - he’s awesome - and more about how it fits with us.

As someone who admittedly knows nothing that isn't public, I'm going to guess the reason is culture/non-EDG traits. However, if he's in a very strong culture, surrounded by strong peers and leadership, maybe it could work. BU has earned my trust in recruiting decisions so whatever he decides I'll support.

He's also a walking turnover. I liked being in the 99th percentile this year when it came to protecting the ball. That wins a lot of games. This would also be his 5th school in 5 years, which makes you wonder how quickly he's willing to quit on something.

Life gets a whole lot easier when you allow people to live their life by their values, instead of your own.
It might get easier but doesn't mean it gets better for humanity as a whole.

We'll probably do like 100 more of this list over the next 2 months, but I'm having a hard time thinking if there's going to be a more impressive/ realistic top 5 than this
