Really feel for some of these kids that bounce around their entire careers. Absolutely loved the energy this kid brought every single game for us. On the flip side, 11% and 18% from 3 the past 2 years is toughhhhhh.
I will never forget him getting a crappy technical foul called against him while he was redshirting. He found a way to make the stat sheet all while not burning eligibility. That is...

The value for Ty on this team would obviously be defense in the event he stays.

Other than him, Stojakovic is the only guy I’d feel good about sticking on the opposing teams best player.
While Ty wasnt a guy who could shoot outside of 6 ft, the dude could dribble and pass well. His defense was good in terms of team defense, but his on ball defense was very suspect. Its been 2 years though. He has had a long time to work on things. I would think there is a place in the top 8 for him to get a lot of minutes. He is a dog when it comes to effort. Something our teams have struggled with at times.

Funny you bring that up … I think it could be the exact same story …

Very tough to get into Michigan as a Junior …

But also - don’t think they’re the biggest competition for Blackwell … I think we are our own competition … Come with a strong 🍑 offer and get this 💩 DONE …

We start pissing around and that’s when I think it’d get interesting …
Is it true we have a 4 mil offer out there for him.

I thought the story at the time of Skyy's transfer was that he needed to because Brad was a mean coach. Would be the greatest of ironies if he got the extra year and then transferred back.

I had mentioned to my son during the B10 tournament that Skyy was playing the way we hoped Boswell would -- playing lock up D and hitting open thress. I actually think Skyy matured a lot -- Mick actually was super complimentary of him as a player and especially on defense this year -- but nearly impossible to see him circling back to Illinois.

Do i even wanna know how much he's shopping Mirk for.
To be fair, Mirk probably got less last year than what he produced at last year's market value. If I recall he was a late add, so based on what SCDerby said, maybe we got a bargain-ish deal? (complete speculation on my part).

If anyone deserves to get paid, it's Mirk obviously. So from last year's "bargain" to this year "performance bonus" balances it out? Again...just speculation.

Get a lead guard, retain everyone, NUMBER ONE.

John Blackwell is not a lead guard, and starts a cascade of fit and role issues elsewhere. And we want to retain EVERYONE, do not break the seal.
Couldn’t agree more.

Michigan won last night bc of their lead guard. Florida won last year bc of a lead guard. UConn last night bc of the lack of a lead guard. I think that’s why we didn’t win it all.

Let’s go get a above average lead guard!

Hard to think of what else would stop deals other than money ... although I suspect one or more of T/Z/Mirk could go through the draft process.

Maybe demanding we re-up Petro or Bilic for decent $$ as part of some package deal?
Maybe he wants us to hire his son as a coach.

That’s not why he transferred
