Essentially the same as what Blackwell will cost …
I guess I don’t really get the height argument …

Kid is one of the top PG in the country … He’s proven himself …

He’s 41% from 3 … 82% from the line …

Rebounds extremely well for his size …

He’s also WON literally everywhere he’s been …

How quickly everyone forgets Kylan is 6’2 in shoes …
If we get Blackwell,

we don't need to bother about any of those top guards.

We don't need to bother about anybody in the portal period. Just retention.

It just seems like a big shift.

KJ 6”6
Keaton 6”6
Ty 6”6

Positional size and mismatch hunting becomes more difficult when you roll out 2 smaller guards in QC & Wright? No?

Everyone wrinkling their nose at Skyy Clark needs to take a step back.

Stick him next to Blackwell/Stoj with QC and Morillo with Mirk and the Twins and we are essentially running it back with a better 3pt shooter on ball.

Edit: should clarify better shooter than Bam on ball
Quit on the team and shouldn't be allowed back. I don't really care what nice things he may have said about us after he left.
I'm not worried though because he's not an actual option

Kylan is around 6'1" (generously listed at 6'2"). Quentin Coleman is 6'4". I wouldn't exactly call that short. I'd also say it's not like the extra two inches Keaton has on Coleman make that much of a difference on either side of the floor.

I would GLADLY bring Clark back.. though I'd want him to be a 6th man type, and I'm not entirely sure he'd want to be that. However, he would have opportunity to start if Coleman and or Morillo aren't ready right away.

To me, Clark would be a home run as far as fit and need. And no offense to BAM, but Clark is a MUCH better 3 point shooter. 30.7% v. 42.7%

Clark, Coleman, Blackwell-shooting from deep would be borderline elite, add in Andrej with any of combo of those first 3, and the man will cook with the space he'd have.

Right because 18 year old kids have completely developed prefrontal cortex and aren’t prone to impulsivity at all.

No second chances allowed. 👍🏻

This board is pure entertainment and I love every minute of it.

Just a few weeks ago the consensus was to blow up the whole roster. Build around Mirk and everyone else can walk.

We go 3-0 against Penn, VCU, and Iowa. A group of teams we should beat 8 times out of 10. And we split a pair of toss up games against Houston and UConn. All of a sudden we HAVE to have everyone return. If anyone leaves it's a disaster.
This board’s thoughts are fluid

Coleman is 6'4. In no world, is that small for a guard.
It is a little bit for a primarily off-ball player.

But he's super explosive, which is something we did not have last year.

We were an unathletic basketball team last year. Tallest team in America, shooters 1-5, exceptional passing at every spot, patience, unselfishness, it was a funky blend of strengths and weaknesses.

We'll try to maintain some of that I'm sure, but a slasher who can dunk in your face never hurts.

Same tired old argument. The poor underdeveloped children.

He had enough prefrontal to take a year’s pay for half a year’s work. Seems smart enough to me.

I think Haggerty and Wright are great pivots from Blackwell personally. At the end of the day, I'd be surprised if Blackwell doesn't end up at Duke or possibly Michigan. I never thought he'd end up at Illinois. Seems too perfect. After last season? Sure, I thought Illinois had a real shot since he could've played two years with the same program as his dad. But for one season? He'll go for the biggest bag at a school with a real shot at a natty. Duke is probably that in his mind.

That said, if Brad can lure Haggerty, Wright, or someone along those lines, giddy up! I also wonder if Khamenia is a pivot the staff is making in case Andrej leaves. I hope not, but I could see it.
