I have been pretty busy with family commitments, focusing on a new business adventure, figuring out the MLB, and preparing for spring fishing 
. I decided to take a break from Loyalty and college basketball in gereral, sort of (everything is relative). I see we are now on page 173 for this topic in one week.
So, what's up? Seriously. I had just become accustomed to not having expectations until I watched teams actually play. I accepted that I could no longer look at a current roster and project the next season. Portal and NIL change the way I followed college BB, for 50 years. Different, but I still love it. As recently as that occurred for me, it is already changing. Now, as soon as the transfer dust settles, we will know where teams stand. That has to be very disheartening for the "have not" programs to already know they don't stand a chance next year. Of my family (Son, SiLs, BiLs, Nephews, Cousins) that are alums and sports fans, none are Illini. And the Illini are definitely "haves" right now. There will be less surprise teams. I will still hold judgement until I see, but I'm confdent with my high expectations already for next year, and beyond. It's good to be an Illini. My whole family agrees. The 173 pages just cracked me up.

If true that sounds less good for us. Means they have more money for Blackwell, right?
I'm just happy that yesterday's recruiting thread was shut down. The Weber and Ty bashing was getting to peak headfirst bridge jumping levels. I mean Illini fans gonna Illini fan, but less of that talk today, more talk about running back key players from our Final Four run. Let's Go!!!!

If they are going to announce returners today, I guess I'd think that they would do it before the CvC event so as to not take away from the focus of that actual event too much. But on the other hand, I really don't know what I'm talking about and no one should listen to me, so I'm torn. I guess we'll see...
