Miles Scott to Denver! Caught me off guard! Congrats to him!
Someone in their FO must like the way Bielema runs the program — with Scott joining Pat Bryant and Alex PalczewskiWith the 246th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos select Miles Scott, S, Illinois.
While this article doesn’t address why no DL help, it does a great job of explaining why this wasn’t a luxury pick like so many people seem to think. Why did the Bears draft a TE when they defensive line help in the worst possible way? Oh......and they have two TE's on the roster. Unless Kmet won't be around much longer?
Congratulations Miles.
Yes, people are acting like the draft is the last chance to add players. Trades, picking up a veteran(s) from the veteran cut list later in off season — the roster is not set in stone after the draft.I think they're cooking up another trade for a decent DE/DT that won't break the bank.
They seem really reluctant to throw another raw DE in to the mix...
That being said I questioned the Loveland pick and even the Burden pick last year a little bit and was completely wrong on both.
Main benefit of being a UDFA is that you get to pick your destination and a lot of these guys already have teams reaching out to them in case they don't get draftedYes, people are acting like the draft is the last chance to add players. But they did have a nice discussion about pumpkin pie. There is no NFL.com draft analysis for Scott.
No, no, no Kmet is not going anywhere they need three TE's when they run 12 ans 13 personnel formations he will take the Dylan Snythe role. I know we did nit address our edge rusher woes. However the draft board did not play out that way. They stuck to their board did not reach for a player based on need and ignore what their board and scouts dictated. We were in a dismal state reaching for players based on need in the past. I trust Ben and his staff. Hello he made us kings of the north and was the only coach in Bears history to go to the playoffs in his 1st year!!!!!I thought the multiple TE set was the reasoning behind Loveland, who's a stud. Two TE's in two years?
It's either Kmet is going to walk or they plan on converting that kid into a lineman.
