Agree. Look at where the Dunlap Tight-Ends ended up; Alabama and Ole Miss (LSU now).

Having either of those TE's would have had a huge impact on this fall's team.

JC was from M t Zion. I watched several of his HS games. He would not play at Illinois this coming year. We got the right kid from Mt Zion (Trimble)

6' 4" 225, 4 years to play 3. I think it's safe to say this is mainly a future play, not immediate help. anything we get from him this season is gravy

You’re not wrong. But I’m not sure I’ve seen a player more underutilized in HS, especially last year after Trimble had graduated.

Great get. Also love that he was also on the Varsity chess team that made it to the IHSA state tournament.

Envisioning him bringing physicality to the chess team like he brings strategic thinking and Fb IQ to the football field...

This is a huge get. We have 3 top-20 kids committed in-state. In May.

Also, for those concerned about the slow start, the defending national champions have 4 commits. Stop getting so hung up on team rankings, especially with the portal being more important in today's game.
