Sure. It's just strange to say that right after he lands the top transfer in the market, which might be the biggest recruiting win he's ever had.
If we're sitting here in March and results are still meh, then it's conversation.
The downside is Jake doesn’t look for his shot enough. He attempted 5 in the last 4 games of the season.

This really doesn’t make sense. If you think it might drop his percentage taking more shots, how can he have a DaMonte like junior (actually was his senior year cuz played five) year. The huge jump in the shooting percentage was the anomaly. He only averaged 0.5 attempts more a game from year 3 to year 4.
They ran John Calipari out of town. The guy produced lottery pick after lottery pick and NBA superstars. He won a ton of conference championships, went to multiple Final Fours and a won a national championship. None of it was good enough. They finally wore him down and he bailed.
Knowing that.....how do you think they feel about Pope? They were an Oweh prayer(40 footer bank as time expires) from losing to Santa Clara in the first round.
Recruiting rankings don't matter. With the amount of money there spend, they're guaranteed guys like this. He needs to win. Nothing else saves his job.

He didn't "produce" them. He borrowed them for a year. Same as most of the lottery picks from Duke, NC, and a few others.
Well, if we're not going to give Cal credit for one year of Devin Booker, then we really can't give our staff credit for Wagler. Can't cherry pick what coaching means to elite HS talent.
Cal did develop his kids, as does Brad. Riley was a 5 star and KJ was noted as a lottery pick coming into the program. Brad/the program still produced them.

Davis is there to create spacing and shoot 3s when open. He’s doing exactly what he’s supposed to. I don’t look for an expanded role from him.

Concerns about the “point guard situation” when Vaaks is literally the point guard. If you have the ball skills to regularly initiate PnR, then you’re a point guard.

TLDR; what he basically says is we’ve come to categorize “point guard” based on height and not skill. If Vaaks was 6”2, yes, he’d be your point guard. But because he’s 6”7… that just can’t be your skillset. It’s so brain-rot.
